We have been there on our way to Sary-Mogul for an excursion at the feet of Peak Lenin. We have spent there a couple of amazing hours. We have made our own wool carpets. A nice experience for my birthday. At the end we had a nice lunch together with our hosts, sitting down on the floor in the typical Kyrgyz matrasses. We had a pleasant conversation: they have told what they do, how they help their community to develop and to keep their tradition. By the way the food was really tasty as everywhere in the southern Kyrgyzistan. On our way back they supplied us also with local Kaimak (milk cream) and Ayran (Turkish yogurt) Their guest house is open both for tourists mainly during the holidays and for volunteers and students for exchange programs. They speak English, Russian and, of course, Kyrgyz. To be visited.…
Have visited this sweat house in august 2017 after Osh festival. Didn't expect to find such comfortable accommodation in Alay. The owner of Alay guesthouse Ainura and her mommy prepared very delicious dinner and gave us very informative lecture regarding Osh and Alay history. All rooms are very clean and beautiful. Also they offered us interesting tours but unfortunately hadn't time, wish to have more time next time. Must visit accommodation if you're in that region!
On March 2017 I spent one week in Gülchö and I stayed in this family-run guesthouse. They are very friendly, helpful, flexible and good food (they cooked for us vegetarian food as well). The place has several facilities and is just perched to the hill, in a reflaxed area not far from the town itself. I would completely recommend to stay with them ;)
