Bai Dinh Garden is a small luxury resort situated in one of Vietnam’s treasures … ‘Ninh Binh’, located right next to Bai Dinh Pagoda and in the Trang An Heritage Complex. Bai Dinh Pagoda is a complex of Buddhist temples and considered the largest in Vietnam. Inside the pagoda runs the longest Arhat corridor in Asia, along with Southeast Asia’s largest bronze statue.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this resort for two nights recently and it did not disappoint! From the moment of arrival we were treated to welcome tea and asked to relax poolside whilst awaiting check in. One room was available early that morning so we were able to move straight in and store our luggage.
The location is perfect for all of the surrounding activities with the Bai Dinh Pagoda (just a minute's bicycle ride down the road) a major highlight.
The resort itself treated us to fantastic breakfasts included in the room rate and great range of cocktails. The gardens are perfectly maintained and staff very helpful. We were even able to easily organise a private transfer to Hanoi at the end of our stay.
I would definitely recommend people travelling to the stunning Ninh Binh area to stay at the Bai Dinh Garden Resort and Spa. Great value and right in the centre of delicious local food and attractions.
We will be coming back here for sure!

The surroundings were authentic and very peaceful
This as the most exquisite and jaw dropping beautiful place i have ever stayed at everything was amazing and I would say to anyone who wanted to stay somewhere amazing in Ninh Binh, Love the design of the room and the resort. Such a chill and relaxing place for holiday. The surroundings were authentic and very peaceful. The rooms were large and luxurious despite the authentic look of traditional cottages. The staff were lovely and helpful, always wearing a smile, they were never intrusive and always came to make up the room just as we went out for meals (even though we spent most of our time in our villa).
Definitely will choose Bai Dinh Garden and stay longer next time.

There are lots of lodging options in the Ninh Binh area but this one was a real gem. I really couldn't believe the oasis it would be when I booked it. But, the staff are amazing. The rooms are immaculately clean as are the grounds. The pool was really nice though we didn't swim because it was cold.
But, the hotel is located about 200 yards from the Bai Dinh pagoda's main gate. It's about 6 miles to the Trang An area and the Hoa Lu ancient capital. So, the location is great - and peaceful though you won't think it will be when you drive on the street it's on.
But, we did get a great night's sleep here and then loved our breakfast so much that we joked that we'd make the breakfast our days activity. There were both western and Vietnamese options. And, the staff was so eager to share Vietnamese culture that they even brought us some of the lunch options because they wanted us to experience them. It was really great. We were only there for one night but we really felt like part of the hotel family.

What a hidden gem, I love this resort. Let me start with the staff, so friendly and willing to help with everything.
The food is fresh and cooked by local staff, the gardens are so peaceful to relax in. Great swimming pool to spend hours doing nothing after touring the many local sites such as Trang An, Tam Coc, National Parks and the Bai Dinh Pagoda.
The staff will arrange tours and transfers to anywhere you want to go. Free bicycles and Wifi are a bonus, all laundry facilities and an awesome little gym is free for a bit of exercise. They even have a tranquil day spa if you want a herbal bath or a massage, brilliant !!.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an excellent time. The team working at the resort is so friendly and helped us make the experience, organizing a last minute tour to Trang an - mua cave, they arranged a car to Ha long bay. Beautiful garden, the rooms are spacious with gorgeous bathrooms, comfy beds. Highly recommended !

We had great time staying at this resort. We stayed in a room on the second floor with a pool view for 4 nights. The room had vaulted ceiling; it was very spacious, clean and very comfortable. The resort has nice garden and pool. Food at the restaurant was delicious. And staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Ms Jade Dao organized 3 terrific private tours for us and also took care of all transfers/transportation that we needed. Ms Dao answered all our questions and was always ready to take care of any concerns that we had from the moment we made our reservation. Our tour guide Tuan was very knowledgeable and certainly made our trips even more memorable.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and certainly recommend it.

The resort itself was lovely and so were the staff. We stayed in the family villa and there was loads of room. It was too cool to go in the pool but I did spend time lounging on the chairs. So no complaints at all on that score. The one area where improvement it needed is the food. It was okay but not as consistently good as we had elsewhere in Vietnam.
A few other things to note:
- the resort is fairly isolated and there isn't much to see in the area except the Bai Dinh pagoda complex. That is certainly worth a visit but there really isn't much else around in terms of shops, restaurants, etc.
- we used it as a base for exploring other sights in the area (Tam Coc, Trang An, Mua Cave, etc). Taxi rides were about 300k dong each way, which did add up after a few days.
- don't waste your time going into Ninh Binh. There is very little to see there. If you want to eat out somewhere Tam Coc has lots of options and is more walkable and pleasant.
Bottom line is that this part of Vietnam really is worth visiting in terms of the nature sights. But if that's not your thing, then it isn't worth visiting.

What a wonderful time stay here, thanks to all excellent services from all staffs. Resort located at the best location, just right next to the pagoda. Lovely receptionist (Ms Houng) recommended us to the night tour at the pagoda, which is amazing experience and we love it! Especially the lovely night tea at the end of tour. Room is so comfy and very convenient. Spa experience was relaxing and beautiful. We love food here, so fresh and tasty! Great thing we just ride free bikes visit the pagoda again next day as it was amazing! Don’t miss out guys, one of the best and friendly service place you would love to have.

No doubt this is a beautiful resort. However it is far from all tourist activities (barring the bai dinh pagoda) that take place either at Trang An or Tam Coc. Cabs are expensive to get around so renting a two wheeler is the only option. Thank God for Google maps to help us find our way around. Else we could easily get lost, esp at night. Hardly spent any time here since most of the time we were exploring the tours at Trang An/ Tam Coc. We did use the pool at night which was great. Breakfast - not too many options. The staff was helpful and friendly though, esp Cloudy :) Really sweet.

We had a great time at the Bai Dinh Garden Resort. It's a beautiful place but what makes a difference is its staff! The front desk were extremely helpful in reaching out to our bus company to confirm our details. After a long day exploring in the area and after having checked out already, Cloudy also gave us some complementary pineapple juice which was exactly what we needed! Would recommend staying there!
