I would echo the comments of Kelsey B. It is a stunning setting, smooth transfer experience and a very warm welcome by the GM and staff. But from then on things go downhill from a service standpoint particularly given the price category of this property. GEM essentially disappears after the introductory tour, very difficult to contact as they are always busy. You are left to your own to ensure reservations are made and confirmed in a timely manner otherwise spots at the spa etc run out. Food is average and takes an eternity to arrive. We had to leave our table and follow up at the desk when on our first day lunch the food didn’t arrive for 45 min after ordering. The staff are very warm and mean well. But in general the training and polish is lacking. This is where Maldives beats Seychelles hands down. Tightening up these few loose ends will make this a truly world class property.

The setting of the hotel on the private island is breathtaking and we particularly enjoyed the casual luxury of the property offering all amenities that customers might wish for in a cozy setting yet with superb standards down to the tiniest details. The villa we were given had a breathtaking view over the sea and right into the sunset, allowed for peaceful nights and lots of privacy to relax. The entire staff is incredibly professional yet naturally friendly and approachable - we enjoyed the chitchatting during meals, with the buggy drivers, gardeners, room attendee etc. the cuisine is wonderful and particularly the dinners in the lush garden under the full moon and stars with candle light will be precious memories for us.

My husband and I visited this resort at the end of our 2 week honeymoon safari in Tanzania and Kenya. We had pretty high expectations based on how much we were paying. While the rooms were absolutely amazing, the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced - worse than any "budget" hotels I've ever stayed at. The main problem was that we had the hardest time booking any "experiences" at the resort - booking a couples massage, a hike, a day trip, an excursion, a dinner reservation - we'd make the request and then fail to hear back on if was "confirmed" for literally days. We had to call multiple times to finally get confirmation and the average "confirmation" time was 2 and a half full days. Since we were only staying there for 4 days, this was a huge problem and caused us to limit what we were able to do while staying there. The "GEM" program that they have caused this delay I believe - as we had to jump through hoops to contact our "GEM" (which is essentially your private butler) and they were always busy. Then, the few times we were able to make reservations for activities - they tended to be not what we expected. For example, for a hike one day we were supposed to get picked up at 11am - after calling multiple times, we ended up being picked up at 11:40am. Another time, we were supposed to have a sunset drinks experience that was supposed to start at 5:15 - it ended up being delayed until 5:50 (and sunset was only 25 mins past that time) - we were told this experience would be "on them" to make up for the massive delay, but we still got charged full price (close to $375) for this experience. Other times, when we'd call to get picked up to go to dinner, we had to wait 20-30 mins for a buggy to come. Overall, staying here was a lot of work and NOT relaxing. For Americans flying all the way here, I'd recommend staying at Maia on the main island - I've heard it's much better service and it saves you the time (and cost) of needing to fly on a private helicopter to the island (which only flies during dayitme hours so if your flight is delayed you'll miss a day on the island - this happened to us). This is my first review I've ever written - but I felt the strong need to help other travelers know that it's not worth the money to stay here! It was the worst part of our 3 week long honeymoon.

Dear 872kelseyb, First and foremost I would like to say thank you for choosing Six Senses Zil Pasyon and for your review on your recent stay with us. We truly appreciate your honest and constructive comments and I like to express our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations . We pride ourselves in delivering unparalleled hospitality at all levels but I recognize the fact that we have not been able to do so during your stay. Your feedback has been well received and I will surely use the same to identify our shortcomings and failures in delivering. It does help the team to streamline those areas and to ensure we will not repeat any of those downfalls going forward. It is with great disappointment to learn that you have not been able to relax and enjoy your vacation as expected and that we have not been able to live up to the level of service we are known for. We are sincerely sorry as this is certainly not the kind of vacation we want our guests to spend. I do hope that you will give us the opportunity again to better serve you better in the near future, should your travels bring you back to Seychelles . Warm regards, Tim Bilfinger General Manager

It is a stunning resort with top-notch villas with pools and beautiful views. I do not want to repeat the same superlative comments below, but they are all true. Starting from our GEM Kaaren, restaurant waiting staff, to buggy drivers and housekeeping, every one of them was attentive and polite. There are three beaches at the resort, but we could not swim because of strong waves and currents during our stay. Lastly, the resort is very expensive due to its remote location but worth it due to its exclusiveness, total privacy, and tranquility.
