I have been at this place, and all I can firmly recommend it. If you wish for a nice well equipped place (by amazing owners Dean and Steffie), spectacular terrace views, private room or hostel room, friendly people, bar on the terrace to spend evenings with good prices and excellent views, BBQ - you are at the right place. They have made this place so awesome, so once you stay there, you have a feeling that you are there among friends. Thank you for the hosting, I will be back!!!

Our first ever hostel stay will spoil us for any other! (Another guest with more hostel experience told us “this one, on a scale of 1 to 10? It’s a 15!”) The hosts, Ben and Steffi, treat everyone like family, and the guests all picked up on that and soon felt like a group of old friends, cooking communal meals and organizing games on the patio. The incredible view of the Adriatic Sea enticed us to hike down and enjoy the beach. (Next trip we will make the nighttime trek to see the fluorescent plankton.) Hostel Dalmatia offers varied accommodations from couch-surfing to Dorm-style to nice private rooms with an en-suite bath, air-conditioning and balcony. (Being senior citizens, we opted for the private room and couldn’t have been happier. ) Lots to see in the area, too. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!…

We were welcomed by the owner Dean, and his wife-to-be Steffi, very kind people that have made this area their home, well integrated with the locals, and very loving and kind people (as well as a sweet French girl helping out). The hostel is very comfortable and clean: a big terrace downstairs and an inside living room and kitchen, and the rooms/bathrooms are comfortable and spick-and-span. Dean and Stefi are very helpful and arranging, and make you feel at home right away. Just a place that is full of love and good vibes (and 2 adorable dogs, Luna and Buddy!). Our stay was too short, looks like we will have to come back! :)

My stay here was amazing! This well-designed place felt like home. The owners were so open-minded, friendly and hospital. The kitchen has a lot of tools available to prepare your own meal and is of great size. The location is also perfect: supermarket and beaches are close-by, the view is wonderful, and you can easily take a bus to Makarska or Split. Highly recommend this place to all the people out there: families, couples, and solo-travelers.

Ben(Dean) and Steffi are the best hosts!! This was more like a house and family than a hostel! Private and dorm rooms available! Very kind fun and hospitable !! You can’t get better accommodations in a hotel along the coast! We spent close to a week not wanting to leave when the time came to do so. Ben speaks mostly English with a Texas slang but knows Croatian Steffi speaks English and German and both are so loving. The food is what you make it! Literally everybody pitches in and we feasted morning and night. The views are outstanding!! It’s a must go on this one!
