Visited the spa on 16th December with a friend for my birthday. The team was not welcoming or warm from the reception to the masseurs. After, we went to steam and were left there. No engagement or feedback about the experience was asked. Found the staff to be extremely unfriendly and unbothered. I would not recommend going to this spa especially if you're looking for a treat for a special occasion.

Excellent instagramable location, serene environment, polite and professional staff. Sunday brunch is a memorable affair @hemingways with 5-star menu, bottomless prosecco and sweet soulful live jazz band playing while you indulge.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner one evening at the restaurant bar area. Right from the beginning we were greeted with a very welcome reception and seated immediately. When asking for our drinks, our server made a few recommendations and then offered to make a "surprise" drink based on our taste preferences. Personally, this is something I love as it shows am absolute love for the task at hand and a mastery of tasting profiles if done correctly. Needless to say, he was spot on and the drinks were next level. Regrettably we didn't take pictures, but one drink was served with tamarind, pear and what looked to be papaya seeds... so refreshing and well- balanced. We also had a cucumber and pepper drink with a fruit base and a daiquiri style cocktail. Incredible all around, world class service here that would make Hemingway himself envious. To follow, we had ordered a crème brûlée. Let me tell you, it was the best dessert I've ever had. The creamy base had an orange zest and was presented with what appeared to be all the spices used in the dish (vanilla bean, cinnamon, anise). Such a rich and satisfying dish, I can't say anything further than knowing it will forever be the baseline to which I'll compare the dish going forward.

We spent one night at Hemingway’s as we wanted to stay in the Karen area of Nairobi. I can’t say enough good things about the hotel. 5 star service. We felt special and cared for. Our suite was stunning and extremely spacious for 3 of us. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff is top notch. We enjoyed cocktails before dinner in the bar and watched the sun set. The dinner in the main dining room was spectacular. We had a seafood platter. Breakfast was also a delicious and varied buffet. I highly recommend a stay here if you want to visit the attractions in Karen like the Karen Blixen museum, Sheldrick elephant orphanage and others.

The bar never disappoints. Was here in 2020 and then again in 2022, and still found the amazing Ben. Attentive, intuitive and great service always. You can never go wrong. The cocktails are so great, the sunsets beautiful.. backed up by the team of Jacinta and Karanja. 10/10 would recommend
