This is me coming back to Kenya and this hotel since 2018 and I must say am pleased 😃 with my experience. Arrived late for my lunch (brunch) but the hostess was so kind to offer me a table outside (thanks to her). The menu was interesting and to be honest I couldn’t decide what I wanted. Ordered the Asian duck which was absolutely mega! Service was slow, my cocktails (mango chili mojito) wasn’t what I expected (didn’t like it). I later moved to the bar and Ben was quick to acknowledge my disappointment with the cocktail earlier and Offered to surprise me with a drink at the bar, and this was the best thing I’ve had in awhile. He’s communicating skills is top notch, efficient and so welcoming. Generally I left a happy guest who only came for brunch but ended up extremely swept of my feet. Hotel ambiance was superb, clean Definitely worth it and more.

4th visit, this time around Sunday late lunch, pleasant welcome by the guards, ushered in to masks , didn’t have a prior booking. attitude changed when we asked not to have the brunch as it was close to 3pm. One of the waitress was kind and welcomed us. The food was great and the ambience Amazing. She saved the day. 👏🏿

Our stay at the Hemingway Nairobi Hotel was wonderful. I can’t say enough about the excellent service by the nicest, most thoughtful, kind, sweet staff. In addition to the caring service, the room and grounds are beautiful. There are numerous staff members that deserve recognition. Amount the many staff member who we would like to thank are: Agnes, Elizabeth, Perez, Mary (housekeeper), Daniel, and massage therapists Mary and Elsie.

We come every year to Africa and we enjoy staying at the Hemingways in Nairobi :) The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff and food is amazing. The bartender Ben was so nice and offered to make me a special drink. All I told him was I like grey goose vodka and the drink was amazing. (See attached picture) It’s my last night in Nairobi but it was a nice way to end it at the Hemingways with my special drink :)

Beautiful location and beautiful gardens, lovely pool , once you got used to the cold water, good food - had lovely service from Dennis who went above & beyond to offer good service. A real colonial feel to the hotel. The ambiance and welcome on arrival is amazing with the most divine smelling and beautiful flower arrangements. Highly recommend for a stopover in Nairobi

My wife and stayed over at Hemingways Nairobi while transiting from 8 days of safari in Tanzania at two great lodges, Taasa Lodge and Siringit Migration Camp. We stopped over in Nairobi as we were transitioning to some travel in South Africa which the super professional Roane Travel helped us with. Hemingway’s Nairobi is not just a beautiful oasis architecturally. The people are a 12 on a scale of 1-10! I’ve stayed at some very fine resorts and lodges but this one is right there at the top. The upstairs bar mixes some amazing exotic cocktails. And dinner downstairs on the outdoor patio with the fountains and lights that come up make for gracious African exotica, and fantastic food and service. The concierge, Kennedy, is without parallel! Cannot recommend this establishment enough! Edward Power

I love the rooms, very spacious. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the upstairs bar. Ben makes the best of cocktails. There's also a fireplace upstairs. Good for evening chill out. The environment is serene and super quite. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes luxury and serenity.

We visited the hotel to get an experience of the Sunday brunch. When we arrived, we were somehow concerned on how the service would be as the place was packed...and I mean packed...(so people actually like brunch Sundays hmm...) We were warmly welcomed and sat at our table.Fast forward...the buffet was nothing short of amazing and had sumptuous food..Faith our waitress was so kind and effective during the whole service period. However Francis...one of the floor supervisors was impeccable... despite being super busy... jumping from one corner to the other...one table to the other. He kept on checking on us with a friendly smile... refilling our drinks when necessary and ensuring we were comfortable. He guided us on how to go about the beautiful set buffet which was very helpful as we ended up having a taste of almost every dish. This was beyond our expectations.....and hands down the best brunch(busy brunch).. I've ever attended. My friends kept on smiling the whole time. Thank you so much to Francis, Faith and the whole team. We will definitely be visiting the hotel again.

Hemingway’s restaurant is a swanky place. The problem is that they don’t know how to cook steak. They offer several different types of steak and several different sauces. It sounds great, but however you order your steak (rare, medium rare, medium) it comes out cooked beyond well done. They should have a category for steak cooked until it’s hard and dry, because that’s what we got. Of course, they offered to replace the steak with a different one, but I didn’t come to this restaurant for my friend and me to eat seriatim. I didn’t come here to watch her eat while I wait for my food, and she didn’t come to eat by herself while I wait for my food. I always order my steak medium rare, which allows for some variation up or down, which still works for me. But steak that’s cooked until it’s hard and dry is virtually inedible.

The best food I have ever had, recently I visited the Hemingway's karen with my daughter just for lunch. The lamb shank recommended by the restaurant manager Masha was the best food I have had. My daughter had the parmesan chicken which she really enjoyed. Not forgetting our ever smiling waitress faith she is an asset she made us feel at home with her excellent service. It was our first time and definitely will come back.
