Stayed for 5 nights, booked via Air Nuigini as a package. Had to ask for a replacement room after first night as the shower in room did not work. Obtained an upgrade to pool side but extra cost of K180 per night. We were happy with that even though it was expensive on top of original package room price. However, they seem to have problems with showers as the taps in this room fell off after turning on (room 33, cold tap). Lobster for dinner on 3 nights. The rest of menus is rather bland and deep fried oriented. Apart from lobster the menu needs upgrading. By the way cost of lobster meal was K95.00, I can get a better lobster meal in Port Moresby for K65.00 Tour services provided by dive shop were ok, although the half day fishing produced nothing. The lures used need to be a little better but overall a great 4 hours on the water. Other tours such as full day Rabaul tour and swim with dolphins fully Highly recommend. Staff were great given that it was evident they receive no training. Asked for 4 x bottles of Heineken and the young lady said what flavor lol. Other staff fall over themselves to help. Views from deck outstanding. Would we return, yes, but maybe 5 nights is to long I marked average due to the poor menu and shower quality. Other than that would mark good.

The property itself immediately relaxes you. The Pool are is spectacular, the rooms are generous in size and clean, and the staff and management are very accommodating. Nothing was an issue. Sitting on the balcony eating lobster with a bottle of champagne overlooking the harbor, volcanoes and distant Rabaul. Doesnt get much better. Well done team!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. It’s the perfect spot to get away from Port Moresby for a weekend. The raw beauty is really amazing. The resort food was top notch, fresh fish everyday. The diving is sensational, and the massages super relaxing. The staff are friendly and attentive. Make sure you book tours to see the dolphins, volcano and tunnels. We had a ball.

Went for a visit to see how development have progressed, have been to this hotel some 15 years ago. Has totally developed into a real plantation hotel, few more houses built and one also burnt down. The sea front have a eye catching lookout bungalow for relaxing n partying and the best place to see into the sea. Can see passing ocean liners, passenger boats. Its worth checking out the hotel

We were welcomed by the staff at Rapopo with them greeting us with a welcome song and giving us a lei. It was a wonderful and friendly start to our stay. The staff were very helpful. They always had a smile on their face for us. We were able to book our trips from the Hotel, which were all well organised and well run.We went for a day trip to Rabaul stopping to see amazing scenery. We went through the Japanese caves from WW2 and to the hot springs were the volcano was. We were not able to trek up to the volcano that day and the trek was unsafe and we appreciated the honesty of the guides who were with us. We swam with 300 spinner dolphins. Totally amazing. They were about 10 minutes away from the resort. We could not believe how many dolphins there were. Never have we seen a spectacle like this one. This was not the first time we had done a swim with the dolphins - the last one was in Melbourne. So to see all of these dolphins who came and swam along with the boat so freely and easily was just mind blowing. The last trip we did was to do the snorkeling around Little Pidgeon Island. The sea was warm and beautiful, crystal clear. The coral was amazing and the fish were so abundant. This was certainly the best snorkeling experience we had ever done. It was a sad day when we had to leave the island to go home. I would love to go back again.
