This is the worst place we have been to. The owner is very gruff and abrasive. We arrived there at five and by seven this guy kicked out four grown women in our 50s. The only reason being he had one complaint that we swore!! Yes that's right we swore! He gave us 20 mins to pack our things and leave. This is not how to run a business. He was continuously hovering over us as if he were watching our every move. People don't go here we won't be back.
I searched for a place to stay with my trailer as I was coming to Kamloops for a new job. Luckily I found Pinantan Lake Resort. A little pricier than a spot in Kamloops but well worth it. It is an actual campground, not a parking lot. Beautiful scenery, beautiful weather and the best hosts. Brad and Holly are the best. Very easy going and helpful in every aspect. Everything you need is there. Laaundry facilities, 50 amp service, water and sewer on site. I stayed for 2 months and was actually sad to leave. 27km from Kamloops on one of the best motorcycle rides I've had. Lots of twisties and of course the flats. Once settled we hope to go back again
The setting for this RV campsite is quite impressive. A picturesque lake surrounded by mountains. The facilities were clean and well maintained. On arrival we were warmly greeted by our host and the two delightful dogs. It is located some distance from Kamloops, about a half an hours ride in the RV but worth it for the location and views offered. Full hook up provided. Peaceful location by the lake with a friendly host. Thanks Holly.
Great hospitality by the family of the owners (the owners were on holiday). He organized a fire in the evening and gave us some good tips. They also have two awesome dogs. Furthermore, the view is on the lake is great and they offer a lot of additional stuff you can hire (boat, cannoo etc etc). If you are looking for a camping near Kamloops, this one is a must!
After looking at reviews of RV campsites in Kamloops we decided that Pinantan Lake Resort was our best option. The setting for this RV campsite is quite impressive. A picturesque lake surrounded by mountains. The facilities were clean and well maintained. However, they were showing their age, but in some respects this was the charm of the place. One might say it was like one could have found RV sites back in the 1960’s. On arrival we were warmly greeted by our host and the two delightful dogs. Later we had a long chat about places visited In which we had a mutual interest. It is located some distance from Kamloops on a bitumen road, however the road to Prichard where you join Hwy1 does become good dirt about 5km beyond the RV Park. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this campground, just don’t expect the latest and greatest facilities.…
