The Bannerghatta Nature Camp is a surprise. Just on the outskirts of a bustling city like Bangalore with its flyovers and late nights and chaotic traffic lies 25,000 acres of carefully preserved jungle. For children and the child in you, it's an amazing storybook destination brought to life. Bannerghatta has been used as a rehabilitation facility for tigers and lions rescued from circuses. The biggest of its kind, this facility has opened opportunities for India's first Lion and Tiger Safari. With enclosures that recreate their natural habitat, seeing a giant cat up close, with just the safety of the jeep separating you and the beast, resonates to a very deep part of you.

It's a great place for kids (especially when there are 2-3 of them in a group). Very hygienic and clean tents with lots of open spaces around. Jungle Safari, Food, Camp Fire and Nature Walk are included in the package. There's also an activity area with various rope based games.

A nice place for a day trip. Usually it's very crowded during the weekends. A good place for children. But the animals are kept in very small cages, often without a companion. The authorities should immediately take a note

Can anyone advise on wooden cottages - challets . How are they ? Which cottage is the best
Any place is fine. They are all next to each other and once inside the room, the swiss tent looks like any other indoor accomodation. Like someone said, if you are a bigger group, 3-4 and above, the dorm is also fine. Food is the same for all. the higher category may get a AC vehicle for safari.

Hi, I think it is not advisable to take pregnant women for safari ride. you can go and visit butterfly park and zoo. The roads are not so good. Though its maintained in a decent manner, when we went before 4 months some maintenance work was happening and few places were too worse to travel.
