We were happy to drive by the Selsey Arms on a Saturday afternoon when we were very hungry. The garden was pleasant and the staff were really affable. My friend had pork and mash, which looked beautiful but lacked a little in flavour. I felt enthusiastic about my curry, which was also very very pretty to look at-- butternut squash, potatoes, lovely fresh coriander and edamame beans, which unfortunately were hard of texture and therefore undercooked. Later in the evening I got severe stomach pains lasting for a few hours and this was the only thing it could have been. I thought it would be kind to ring the kitchen and tell them my experience, but I was received so defensively, the cook (proprietor?) refused to believe my experience stemmed from those beans. I don't want anyone else to be ill so beware if you order the curry. (Or recommendation, use a different brand of frozen beans! Or a green bean or a more tradition curry legume like chick peas...) Nevertheless it's a really nice pub and I wish them well.

Lovely pub. Happened across it by chance for quick lunch bite & had a couple of sandwiches (out of this world). Freshest bread and fillings ever had outside a bakery and the chips are ‘proper’ chips and tasty. Staff were friendly and chatty, but not in your face. Had local ale, which was actually refreshing. Loved it so much we went back for our evening meals - macaroni cheese, fish & chips and hamburger. All were beyond delicious, my fish was meaty with a light beer batter (no stodgy bits), the mac&cheese was amazing & the burger was over n inch thick steak mince in a brioche bun and of course the most amazing hand cut/cooked chips. Again the service was great and the staff lovely. To be honest if this was nearer to where I live, not sure I would want you all to know how great it is 😂. Thank you for enjoyable & flavoursome times - will definitely be back and look to stay as the others we spoke to had nothing but high praise for the accommodation.

Great service and piping hot and tasty food. Our group were very late arrivals for lunch on Saturday but that didn’t matter to the lovely staff at the Selsey Arms. We were welcomed in and looked after beautifully. The menu was a nice mix between bar food and hearty meals, with good choices of starters and desserts. We left feeling very satisfied and with a bit of a glow at receiving such friendliness. A big thank you to the Selsey Arms.
