We came with friends and had an amazing time. The highlight was definitely our game drive. Werner was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were lucky enough to see many animals and a must do activity when staying here. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The place is stunning and the hosts are extremely accommodating. There were however feces in my bedroom either from birds, bats or mice. Because of this, I couldn't sleep properly. This was my only problem with the property.

Dear Sha Sha, Thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time to write one up. Each one is invaluable to us whether positive or not. I do apologize that you experienced an uncomfortable sleep. What it was that you had was most likely from Geckos, with the thatched roof which is a great place for them, and with the warmer weather we have, they have become more active and there is nothing that one can do to get rid of them. Especially as we are located on a game reserve, animals are more prevalent than in built up areas. We do not encounter bats around the lodge and with it being an upstairs room the likely hood of it being from mice is low. Our ladies do clean the rooms daily and they take pride in their work. I do wish you had brought it to our attention immediately during your stay with us so we could try and rectify the problem as best we can and perhaps we could have moved you to a bedroom that has a ceiling. However I am glad that you still appreciated the overall experience. Thank you Warm Regards Nicole & Werner

We had an amazing stay at For D'Acre. It is peaceful and the rooms are private. It is so well-kept and clean. The managers were readily available for any questions we had but we felt like we had the space we needed as well. The breakfast was delicious as well. The whole stay was exactly what we needed!

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at Fort D'Acre and were really impressed. The lodge is thatched, beautiful, luxurious and very private with a lovely garden and pool area. The rooms are modern, clean and offer a stunning view of the Indian Ocean. There is simply no time for watching TV given the many things on offer to do. The game reserve is bordering the Indian Ocean. Nicole and Werner who run the place are simply the best. Their positive energy and friendliness will stay with us for a long time. It was very relaxed and the food was great. We also enjoyed the braai especially the setting of the scene which was set just for the two of us. We felt like Rojalty...African Royalty! Our game drive with Werner was great fun, very personalised and we saw All the different animals - that being on our first game drive! Wish we could have stayed longer... but duty is calling. To Nicole, Werner and staff thank you for a great African experience. South Africa is the best!!
