We love Coral and will probably never use another venue when visiting Sodwana - it has a great set up for self catering and if you don't feel like the slept of bringing all your stuff the restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. I can only suggest that the back kitchen and fridge area could be up kept a...

Great venue, great people, friendly and pleasant. Great scuba diving, very organised. Even the boat skippers have their Open Water 1 and some have Advanced! Such a nice venue layout. Relaxing. Lots of stuff provided for you such as fire places including the coal, fridges.

Great diving. We did the advanced course and really enjoyed it. Only annoying aspect was that a large diving group (some local diving club) basically dominated the diving schedules and evenings with their party activities. We were not informed about this inconvenience by the management and could not enjoy quiet evenings as we would have preferred. Other than that, the...

Divining and getaway experience like no other! Coral provides a great and tranquil experience, while the dive tours simply steal the show. All the dive masters where great along with the other crew who helped make the dive trips unforgettable! Simply amazing!

We did the open water dive course. The instructor's are top notch. I was really impressed. The tented accommodation was ok. Some of the tents need a bit of attention with small holes/broken zips but they are all right. There are rooms available that looked much nicer. I would probably book one next time. The buffet was ok but pretty...

If you are planning a dive in Sodwana Bay, I would recommend steering clear of Coral Divers. This is an amateurish operation where safety and customer service are non-existent. The accommodation is run down and dated. The staff unhelpful and unfriendly - from A-Z it was bad. Now let me get to the more important part. The dive safety standards...

Coral divers is a convenient place to stay when diving at Sodwana. Courtesy transport to the beach and back. Lots of dive options and renting facilities. Some of the DM's are really good and others not so good (rhetoric luck of the draw). In general the beach and boat staff is very good. The cabins are not so clean and...

Coral Divers is a PADI 5 star Gold Palm IDC/CDC Centre situated in Sodwana Bay, South Africa. We are proud to be able to provide all levels of PADI scuba instruction from Bubble Maker to Instructor Development Courses as well as accommodation and dive charters. Lying within the boundaries of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park, Sodwana Bay provides the travelling diver with a vast array of unspoilt coral reefs populated with a huge diversity of Indo-Pacific fish & invertebrates. Apart from the great diving & beautiful coral reefs, the area offers fun and excitement for the non-diver too. From quad bike riding, kiteboarding and paintballing to day trips to Makhasa Game Reserve for Rhino or Buffalo tracking on foot, you're sure to find something that appeals to you, your friends and/or family. Coral Divers offers you a very comfortable diving holiday experience while retaining the rustic appeal of an out-of-the-way bush camp. The area is covered with dense coastal forest offering exquisite scenery, bird watching, and a number of small mammals including Bush Babies, Genets, Duiker and Striped Mongoose. Sodwana is accessible by car, however we can arrange transfers from Hluhluwe - Bushlands (The BazBus drop off point) should you not have your own vehicle. Petrol & Diesel are available from the petrol station in the National Park, and there is a small supermarket which can provide you with essentials such as food, drink and sun block. There are a couple of restaurants both within and outside of the Park, as well as our local night club, 'Maak 'n Jol', where you can dance the night away. Sodwana is also within driving distance of a number of amazing game reserves including Makhasa Game Reserve, Mkhuze Game Reserve, Phinda Game Reserve & the Hluhluwe Mfolozi Park. “My husband and I stayed in the ensuite cabin which was roomy and quirky. The young adults stayed in the basic cabins and shared ablutions which were quite sufficient; they could be quite noisy at night as near to the bar and parking area.”

“The top of the range chalets with internal bathrooms cost a bit more but are really by far the best option. They are set in a lovely grassed milkwood parkland, quieter and more secluded than the rest of busy camp. There are also a lot of lovely campsites set into the coastal forest, but personally I'd only want to camp there in the off season. ”
