A lovely old farmhouse/manor house set in extensive grounds with a stream running through. Warm welcome from Annie? with whom I practised my not-very-good French and the dogs! Our room was large with a modern bathroom, all you could want. Breakfast good and we would definitely like to come and stay again.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at this very charming place after an 11 hour flight from Los Angeles to Paris. It's only about an hour from CDG and it turned out to be the perfect place to get over the 9 hour time difference. Christine was the perfect host and gave us perfect recommendations for places to...

I suppose we were expecting more having read all the rave reviews. We arrived at 8pm and there was no one around, in the end we found a girl living in an annex who went to look for our host. The bedroom was fine, large but old fashioned and could have done with some redecoration, the good news was the...

Welcoming people, beautiful grounds and a fabulous French countryside setting make this a perfect base for exploring the Champagne region. Set almost equidistant from Reims and Epernay, you are in a small village yet within a few kilometers of world-renowned places to see. Christine makes you feel at home instantly and sleep comes easily listening to the stream or the...

We found this wonderful place through the 'hotel de charme' guide and were not disappointed. Beautiful old manoir, charming setting, beautiful views from spacious bedrooms, nice bathroom, good breakfast and friendly hosts that also provided some good tips for local restaurants. Two minor points: For cold nights there were no extra blankets in the cupboards, and in the bathroom there...

Living in New York City, my husband and I were looking for a charming, quiet and romantic place to stay at during our visit of the Champagne region. The place was more than we had hoped for, wonderful hosts Christine and Xavier, beautiful fireplace to be grateful for in January (!), the room was perfect, the breakfast was a French...

We stayed here only 1 night as we were attending a wedding nearby. We regretted that it was only 1 evening as we felt at home straight away and were able to benefit from the lovely calm garden with our young baby. The house is surrounded by horses, chickens, dogs and a golf course! The breakfast is good and filling...

Christine and her husband are very friendly and welcoming hosts that immediately made us feel like home. We had the room "Library" which was very spacious. Everything was very clean and cosy. The french breakfast was elaborate with home made yoghurt, croissants, and so on! The hosts are always ready to help with suggestions or to have a talk. Definitely...

We just left the Chateau and our lovely hosts, Christine and Xavier, last Friday where we had stayed two nights in the Bibliotheque. Manoir de la Semoigne is a 15th century Chateau full of charm and beauty. The flowers were showing off in full bloom and were gorgeous! We found Christine and Xavier to be warm and lovely people, we...
