We booked for two nights at RTR. Oodles of charm and great ambiance. We had the same room as before and were not disappointed, the patio door opens onto an amazing l garden. Lovely and private. Sam, our hostess was so attentive and also informative regarding the town and local attractions. Red Tin Roof Chefs prepare an awesome breakfast and... More

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Missed out on a TV in the room or lounge area to watch the cricket and some of the fittings in the bathroom tended to come loose so probably a touch more attention by house keeping. Otherwise enjoyable stay and will visit again.

Sam is a great hostess and her staff are very friendly. It's shabby chic with lots of interesting pieces on the walls and displayed about. There's a lovely, refreshing blue swimming pool and aircon in the rooms for those hot days you get in Riebeek Kasteel. The bar has a TV for sports enthusiasts. Breakfast was nice. Dinner and lunch... This review is about the restaurant only: I was there with a friend for a light dinner. The garden is an oasis however this is a family friendly place so expect some noise from children. The menu is exciting and it´s clear that the kitchen has ambitions. It´s not "fine dining", it´s relaxed and my Steak Trinchado very good. My... More

We loved how relaxed the atmosphere was throughout our stay. We arrived on a very hot day, touching 40 degrees and after being dumping our bags in the room, went straight for the refreshing pool. After 2 mango sorbets and a beer by the pool, we were already convinced what a great place this was. We had a lovely dinner... More

A very comfortable , unexpected B and B in a beautiful little town. The room was spacious and I was given a choice of bath or shower.. There was a large guest lounge with magazines and games and tea and coffee making facilities. I was made to feel very welcome by the manager as well as the cat and dogs.

What a nice place! The garden restaurant is a shady oasis in the hot summer with a pool for kids to swim in. Very welcoming for families with children. The guest house was lovely, the decor fun and quirky, and the food was excellent. The ice cold beer in a FROSTED glass on a hot summer's day was a really... More

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Red Tin Roof. At check-in we were given complimentary glasses of champagne, which was an indicator of how good the rest of the visit would be! Highly recommended. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable.
