We arrived in Sault to find our pre-paid accommodation (not at Le Louvre) locked and shuttered.....this is a whole different review. The Hotelier at Le Louvre was sympathetic and even though the Hotel was closed mid afternoon he immediately sorted us out in a nice basic room with excellent shower/bathroom facilities and secure storage for my bikes (biggest worry). The... More

Our simple room is very sensibly furnished, with sturdy hanging rails and a good desk, but I did not like the little bathroom with rickety louvre doors. Overlooks the leafy pedestrian square. Garage available for bikes, but best to drop off your luggage at the hotel entrance before parking. Handy coin op laundry nearby. Enjoyed our hotel evening meal outside... More

I stayed in Hotel le Louvre for 5 nights along with the aroma tour that I joined in Provence. It is simple, cozy, clean, rustic and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but Antoine, his wife and his staff are very helpful and welcoming and did their best to accommodate their guests. Antoine cooked the best Provencal cuisine with heart and passion. I... More

Stayed here, for two nights, as part of a cycling holiday. The manager welcomed us with a cold beer and loads of info about the hotel and the area. He couldn't have been more helpful. Room with a view of Mt Ventoux, which we climbed on the second day. Really enjoyed my stay.

This hotel made us feel so welcome. The host was magnificent. Sitting outside on the chairs, we spoke (limited French) to some of the locals. A very friendly atmosphere. The locals love cyclists :) ! The rooms were comfortable and convenient. I have no complaint here. I would stay here again in a flash if ever I were in France... More

We were on a group cycling tour and were bumped from the hotel to other pretty ordinary accommodation so it is difficult to review. Location on the square is excellent and our group dinner surprisingly good. Monsieur seemed harassed and grumpy. Parking is a drama though as there isn't any. Of course we picked market day so that didn't help.

We arrived in Sault feeling exhausted and were warmly welcomed by Antoin, armed with bags for our washing. He and his wife were so helpful and served up a fabulous meal at Le Louvre. Managed the stairs to our comfy bright rooms, slightly quirky but better for it. The team were happy! Don't forget ear plugs for the church bells!

Myself and my three biker buddies booked this hotel with no prior knowledge other than tripadvisor and viamichelin recommendations. We'd been biking all day and were exhausted by the time we arrived and met the proprietor of the hotel, Antoine. He has a nice, secure, garage where put our bikes. Then we had a "welcome" drink, compliments of him. He runs... More

Le Louvre has character, charm and friendly owners. It is tucked away in the centre of the attractive town of Sault, with a real feel of an understated and timeless Provençal way of doing things. There is a hint of eccentricity which added to its appeal for us, and if you like slick and modern it might not be for... More

This is a very typical local hotel with friendly staff. Don't expect luxury but this old building has a charm of its own. The owners are very bike friendly and it's a convenient base for Mt Ventoux. The restaurant is good and you can eat outside in the square in good weather.
