Good facilities, all employees are friendly. The rooms have balconies, a nice swimming pool and a prayer room which is quite clean and is highly recommended for resting because the place is quiet. Awesome, really. If you go to Malang, you want to stay here again.

This is our second stay at Jambuluwuk Batu. We were at one of the villas and this time at the hotel.
The rooms are brighter, maybe newer, and more comfortable than the villas. But if you are with a group, the villas are more suitable as they are more spacious. Thus we hung out at the Club House as it was very relaxing and we could enjoy the beauty of the cool weather.
The back door to the terrace couldn't be locked. We were informed by the front office to pull the handle UP (instead of the normal down) and it worked! Learned something new :-).
The hotel has better wheelchair access (than the villa) to get in/out as well as to the Club house/dining area but if it rains, a bit hassle as certain areas are not covered.
Despite many newer properties in the area, Jambuluwuk Batu is still our best choice: a true resort with the best natural view and surrounding.

Booked a room and traveled 7 hours to get there. We were placed by the activity field. I asked for a room change to not be near the activity field, and was told there would be no activities. Woke 6:45 to blaring PA system and people screaming yelling laughing and dancing. Then construction started at 7:30. Brick cutting on two sides of the room, screaming saws and pounding. We came here for a retreat. Went to the office to check out immediately they would not refund the night. It so simple to disclose these things to guests checking in. They did not. They did offer different room but they should of done at checkin
The staff was very nice - great staff, but the hotel policy is not good.
This is a place if you have a large group and love noise. The decor and decorations and lighting in the rooms is also very poor. Could be made more comfortable with a bit of effort. This is not diva stuff on my end, its just simple basics....

We come with group of families, take the 4 bed premier villa for a staycation.
Unfortunately most of hotel facilities are not available during our stay: sport center seems rarely be cleaned up, atv was not operated, rooms are rather dusty, fishing pond seems not maintained for a long time, flying fox was not operated.
Since after pandemic, they have a lower standard. Need to repair and refresh their facilities, and we will still considered to stay here again.

Thank you for such great stay here. thanks to all Jambu Luwuk team. It's was nice stay. Newly renovated rooms. Special thank to Pak Agil, thank you for organizing our stay. Nice view, Very comfortable bed
I'd like to suggest for improvement of breakfast. Better to offer customers to select their own choice of foods for breakfast.
Hope to comeback again

The resorts lie in a beautiful hill site with a stunning city view. Surrounding by mountain hills, it is a perfect quiet valley. I was very exciting whe I saw the place from a distant. But, when I was entering the gate .... the dissappointments started. This is the list of the dissappointments that I got from day 1 to day 3. Day 1. First is a small reception office, with a messy parking in front of it. No one was in charge to arrange the parking space. Then, no one asked me what would I like to do in the front of the reception desk. I had to speak up to get the receptionist attention. Once checked-in, I was given the villa key and a map. I had to find out my own way there. Is it a motel? Entering the villa, I was welcome by dirty door-mat and bathroom-math. They were not replaced when the room cleaned. Another surprises ... dirty and sticky kitchen and kitchenwares, jammed satelite TV reception, etc. It was Friday afternoon, and the water of the swimming pool next to my villa was only half filled. Another "great welcome". Then late in the afternoon we become hungry, we went to the cafe to order some meal ... well, it took almost an hour before the food came in a noisy loud-music room. The night came, we were cooled by the breeze, it's quietness and lighting views of the Batu city. We slept at 1 am. Day 2 It was Saturday morning when everyone will expect a lazy day in a nice cool mountain resorts. Guess what .... you woke up in the middle of a "Kampoeng" ..... We were waken up by a loud noise from a sound system in front of our villa at 5:30 am. There was a group that was going to have an outdoor activity. When I checked with the management, the hotel allows and provides the sound system for such an activity. It was very very annoying. I have stayd in many hotels, but none have such an inconsiderate manner to the guests. Then we went around the city, we ordered the room to be cleaned at 11:00 am. But, when we came back at 2;00 pm, the room was not cleaned at all. I called the reception, an got a promise that the room will be cleaned soon. At 3:00 pm, no one came to clean the room, again I called the office, and got the sam answer. At 3:00 pm, no one came, and I called again and got a "stunning" answer. The reception said that they were having a busy day, so we would have to wait to get the room cleaned. Wow ... it's a stupid answer showing that the management is very unprofessional. I paid the rate for the service, so I deserve the service regardless how busy they were. Everyone knows that weekend is the busiest day in the resort like that. I knew another resort employees more workers during weekend. Day 3. Another loud noise musci from the sound system at 6:00 am, but this time I got a call for an apology from the management. But, at last I will not come back to this place until the management changed.

The villas perched on the hills with beautiful views to city & mountains. The exteriors of the villa and the garden are nicely done. But inside/interior, is a different story. The kitchen and the bathroom are not clean & up to standards, the workmanship are bad. Bring your own kitchen utensils. The refrigerator is not cold at all and the TV is old & small. The facilities are good (swimming pools, indoor fusball, Indoor badminton, indoor tennis courts). Warning: you have to pay to use the indoor courts, ranging Rp 50,000 to Rp 100,000. Also, you have to pay for extra pillows, blankets, etc. The staff is ok. some are helpful, some are just goofballs. NOTE : Most of the villas are not for disable or old peoples, the stairs to the villas are very steep. Watch your children carefully. Choose villa Yogja, if you bring your old parents or family with mobility problem because there is no stairs to climb & your car can park right in front of the villa.

I was there with some western friends recently, we were planning to take rest while enjoying weather in Batu. Unfortunately it was turn out to a disaster.
The bath room was terribly mouldy, even after the houskeeping did the re-cleaning, mould could not be removed.
The service in the restaurant by breakfast was unacceptable. -The dim sum were still raw, because the it was not made warm before (it was hard), the heater underneath the tray was not working as well. -All the food in the heating tray were cold because the heater was off and none of the service employee had innitiate to refill the spiritus, instead most of the service persons were chatting around. Attempt has been made to talk to the manager was without any success. -The butter was all taken, no innitiative to refill. After asking, the service employee bring us frozen butter, which cannot be spread.
Beautiful view, but its a pity the management doesn't get it right.
We insisted to talk with the manager before paying the hotel bill. We need to wait more than 30 minutes until the manager came out to hear to our complaints. Unfortunately the answer that was given is only: I am only the manager!.
It was a really nice place with great view in the beginning, thats why I have recommended this place to my friends. Unfortunately the continuity of a good management is somehow not there anymore.
