My family and I arrived at the guest house a few days ago, from the moment we arrived until the time we left the service was absolutely impeccable, the staff friendly and warm. The guest house traditional and aristocratic, very well kept and above all immaculately clean. The surrounding area is magical surrounded by trees and little stone walkways just like a fairytale come true!
We visited the guesthouse for a couple days in August. The decoration and the atmosphere of this lodge were delightful. Highly recommended for a couple and for a peaceful weekend getaway from the city. The breakfast was served in a very atmospheric room with local products and very tasty food. Lastly, the hotel owner was very friendly and keen to help you at any case. Huge plus the little river sound that surrounds the premises.
A beautiful and historic building turned into a very relaxing guesthouse. We asked for a room with a fireplace, that was also next to a running river in mid January, providing us with a perfect combination of the relaxing fire and water. Built in wood and rocks, this traditional guesthouse is the perfect stay for a couple, family, or friends. Christos and Spiridoula are great hosts, friendly and supporting and always around in case needed. We would highly recommend!
We have stayed at Palio Eleotrivio on the 21st of October. Mr. Christos has been very polite, well mannered and smiley . We would really liked to thank him. Our room was terrific, also my sister's room has been terrific as well. Everything has been great from the surroundings, to service and room. If you need to relax then this is definitely the place. Just next to the guesthouse there is a small river. Feels like paradise. Good job Palio Eleotrivio!! Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
we stayed here for 2 nights off season (October) and loved the place very much. this is an old olive oil mill converted to a guest house, tastefully decorated and beautifully restored. the room was big, charming and comfortable, breakfast was terrific with gourmet omelette and lots of choices. Christos was our host, he went out of his way to accommodate us and was very helpful with recommendations and tips. one word of caution - try to arrive in daylight as the place is not easy to find and at dark can be really challenging.
Beautiful guesthouse, beautiful village. I couldn't hope anything more. Guesthouse was really first class. Service was excellent. Breakfast was good. Those guesthouse keepers have done excellent job with that old mill. Highly recommendable.
This is the second time that i have visited this guesthouse. The first time was around 8 years ago. It still remains a very well presented and maintained quest house (it was an old olive oil factory)with midieval decoration. The only problem was the very poor and low breakfast. (the first time some years ago was quite different) Anyhow if someone loves the old refubrished structured with a lot of character ,then it should be visited
Two couples for a weekend in mountainous Volos. We arrived early morning in Volos and we tried to find Agios Lavrentios village, where we booked for one night. The place is picturesque of unbelievable physical beauty. The hostel was deeply located in plane trees. It was an old renovated olive oil factory with the wheel and all the decoration is very well suited with the environment. The rooms are big and old fassion styled and the echo from the water flow reminds me my carefree childish years. Everything was perfect
If you want to step back 100 years in experience, but have a room and lodge with all the modern comforts, stay here. We have traveled the globe and this is on our top 10 list. Be aware this is a romantic, quiet, restful place. The town is unbelievable, you are literally stepping back 50-100 years. Spend 2-3 days here if you are going to Greece to slow down and really rest, you will not regret it.
The house is worth the visit. The staff are very helpful, the views from across the bay are unbeleivable It is a guest house but feels like a 5 star feature hotel The willage is very nice and interesting to visit. lots of small restaurants 2 min walk Access can be difficult if you don’t read greek, as there is a lack of signs in english One wrong turn can be very scary! Breakfast is basic. Still will give 5 stars
