Stayed here for one night ..thursday... pls note the actual pub is only open 12 - 3pm and 5pm -11ish. So if you arrive at 4pm getting a drink is a bit tricky.. possible, but tricky! Despite this we had a good stay.. nice 'small double' was exactly that... but it was very clean and had everything. Its an old... More

The location is by the river and is fantastic on a clear day. The haddock was lovely but the chips were awful. Why can't we get a good plate of chips?! The location is the best bit of the pub and we will visit again on a nice day. Food could improve.....

Visited whilst staying nearby at Sleningford Watermill as it was a short walk away along the riverside. Friendly staff and bustling on a Friday night. We chose to sit in the beer garden that goes down to the edge of the river and admire the view. It is a dog-friendly pub though so we could've opted to sit inside with... More

The pub was very clean, service was a little rushed at the start, waitress seemed stressed. This is our third visit to this pub. The food was as good as always but seemed the portion size has been reduced. We couldn't fault the taste or how the food was presented. Good wide choice of food on menu and specials board.

A very nice pub. The food is excellent. I've had the Homemade Pie with Chunky Chips and Fresh Veg. Delicious! The garden is fantastic on a summer day were you can enjoy an icecream and have a nice view over the river.
