While we only stayed at Finca Rosa Blanca one night, we enjoyed the sprawling grounds that had such appealing architecture. And the restaurant had a marvelous viewpoint perched over the twinkling evening lights of San Jose. Our dinner and breakfast wee top notch. Our coffee tour guide Ulises provided an exceptional overview about the state of the the coffee market in Costa Rica. Great experience.

My final stop on my 3 week trip to Costa Rica, and the perfect place for the end of the trip. I did very little here - except for the interesting coffee tour - just relaxed on my veranda, and laze by the pool. I loved how comfortable my room was, and my spacious bathroom. The decor is quirky and interesting, and I enjoyed wandering around the grounds, watching the birds and butterflies. you do really feel you are close to nature despite being so close to the city. The staff were SUPER helpful and friendly - particularly when I needed some translation when I was getting a pre-flight covid test. My only criticism is that, while the food was tasty, the menu in the restaurant is very limited on vegetarian choices. However, I did love the chickpea salad, the chocolate ganache, and the wait staff and chef did their best to accommodate me, even making me something off menu on my last night. I loved how unique this hotel was, and will definitely return.

Dear Ruthr-Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience. It is always so heartwarming for us all to read about our guests thoughts and also to get some constructive criticism. Although we offer many adventures and activities, from serious hiking in the Barva Volcano Park (which is part of the Braulio Carillo National Park) to rafting trips to Turrialba we also love that our guests want to include lounging and relaxing as well as massage therapy and birdwatching. One of the most wonderful things about our location is that we are right in the middle of the coffee highlands and its vibrant culture including the mask makers and the old town of Barva just 5 km east of us. To be set in the middle of our own coffee fields and to be surrounded by others is just beautiful and he people are so wonderful and kind, that it makes one's stay even more memorable. Our menus have been a little reduced due to the pandemic, but we are adding new plates every week and we are just now increasing our vegetarian and vegan options. Again, thank you so much from all of us for spending time to share your experiences here.

Finca Rosa Blanca is an absolute dream come true! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous with views of the jungle and city from every corner. Every inch of this Inn is thought of; the hand-painted murals, the gorgeous and unique rooms, the restaurant, coffee farm, pool and jacuzzi with views, and most importantly the staff! The people at this resort take care of you and wear genuine smiles at all times! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience a perfect climate, a place to stay before taking a flight from SJO, and some quiet, beautiful grounds to soak in. It was so amazing and I am ready to go back!

Thanks so much Tiffany Marie! This is such a nice review and our staff who are all local and proud part of our family will be thrilled to read this. I hope next visit you will be able to go on the coffee tour and see what we have been doing in our forested coffee farm and to see many of the more than 140 species of birds that live on the grounds. We love to get to know all of our guests and we feel so fulfilled when we can share our farm and gardens with them, as well as planning for their time so they can spend their days relaxing or with adventure and everything in between. Again, thanks for taking the time to write about your time with us- we really appreciate it!

We stayed here on our way home from a 3 week vacation in Costa Rica. We were not prepared for the beauty and unique rooms that greeted us. It was a bit chilly the day we stayed so we didn't use the pools, but we did go for a nice hike and enjoyed to lobby and the games left for travelers to play. We also very much enjoyed our welcome coffee and pastry as well as the coffee sent home with us. We will definitely be back

Let's begin for what it is more obvious, this is an small boutique hotel meant to disconnect yourself from the day to day, no AC, no TV, but it is certainly not needed. The hotel is an small boutique with less than 20 rooms. Our room was big, had an small sofa area, the bed and the bathroom with hot tub. The hotel and rooms are in the middle of the mountain so it is really quiet, you can go to bed with the view of the mountain and city lights in the background. The hotel has a pool large enough and a jacuzzi, also my understanding is that there are some rooms with jacuzzi as well. We did use the spa service and it was excellent. Last but not least, the food from the restaurant was really good, it can improve adding q couple more options, specially in the afternoon break. Overall this place is highly recommended.
