#5 of 17 Specialty lodging in Bagnoregio
Italian Village Vacation is an association created to give people a completely different and unknown experience of Italy. A group of home owners have bought old houses in the village and lovingly and tastefully restored them. There are houses of various shapes and sizes, able to sleep from 2 to 8 people comfortably. All houses have comfortable beds with bathrooms and cooking facilities, and all are located in the centre of the village.

Visit the local part of the country with the locals, ex guides from Italy settled here and made the village a must see. It is so quiet and away from the tragic. This is the real country side of an Italian village.

The listing and photos do not do justice to a tasteful and fully equipped villa. The views across the valley of the stunning scenery take one's breath away. We loved sitting on the upstairs balcony with a glass of local wine watching the sunset. The village is a quiet, warm and welcoming community. Marcella runs the local shop with all sorts of regional produce including a lovely white wine and her own Grappa. The swimming pool was immaculate and uncrowded and we spent many happy days sitting around it. On days when we wanted to sight-see, our hostess simply could not do enough. Without being intrusive in any way she made sure we enjoyed everything the villa and the locality had to offer. Recognising that we were tired on our arrival, she invited us to her house for dinner the first evening and cooked a lovely meal. She introduced us to the local community and drove us around to show us local sites. She knows everything about the locality and recommended all sorts of fascinating places for us to visit. We will definitely return and can unhesitatingly recommend this villa and Castel Celessi to all.

2 adults and 2 teens stayed in Casa Corona for 12 nights in August 2015. The house was very well equipped and comfortable. It had a great balcony at the back which overlooked the countryside and distant hills/mountains in Umbria. The local community were friendly and made us feel welcome in their small town. The pool is fabulous - large and with stunning views over the hills and valleys in Tuscia. Lots to see and do within a half hour drive, including the historic towns and cities of Orvieto, Viterbo, Bolsena, Montefiascone, Civita di Bagnoregio... to name a few. Thank you Telly, Carla and Castel Cellesi!

My wife and I spent 5 nights in Castel Cellesi. We enjoyed Casa Amorosa very much. The village is quaint and the accommodations were terrific. We had a balcony on each level of the casa affording beautiful views of the surrounding valley. I'd sit out on the balcony at night with the beautiful stars and enjoy the peace and quiet. Although the village is secluded in the middle of gorgeous countryside, it's actually a quick drive (20 minutes or less) to several hill towns and tourist spots. Orvieto is a quick drive where you can catch the hour train ride into Rome. You have the best of both worlds - beautiful countryside and easy access to so many fun and historic places. Telli was a terrific host. She greeted us with local wine and delicious appetizers. She extended us so much hospitality - providing information, making suggestions, checking in on us periodically to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. She is a gem and we look forward to many visits with her in the future. I highly recommend you stay in Castel Cellesi and enjoy all that Tuscany and Umbria have to offer.
