Saint Francis Resort is located in a pristine location on Stocking Island. Enjoy miles of white sand beaches, diving and water sports, sailing, dining, and much more! A hidden jewel of the Bahamian Out Islands, located on amazing Stocking Island, a 10 minute boat ride from Georgetown on Great Exuma, the Bahamas. The resort includes 8 full service spacious ocean front Bungalows, a restaurant and bar as well as a marina and moorings. Daily jet service into George Town from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Nassau,Toronto and other Bahamian out islands. Slightly more than a mile off George Town's shore lies Stocking Island. The 4-mile-long island has only 10 inhabitants, lots of walking trails, a gorgeous white beach rich in seashells and popular with surfers on the ocean side, and plenty of good snorkeling sites. Jacques Cousteau's team is said to have traveled some 1,700 feet into Mystery Cave, a blue-hole grotto 70 feet beneath the island. Stocking Island is the headquarters for the wildly popular George Town Cruising Regatta

Reluctant to write this review as this is a small place and I don’t want to overcrowd it. Then I realized that was so very selfish of me. If you are looking for relaxation, quiet and sunshine while walking in warm white sand, look no further. Not fancy but fantastic if you want beach, beauty and good people.

My wife and I stayed here last month. George and Gillian (owners) were wonderful, always accessible, and took excellent care of us. The rooms were clean and the views from the entire property were nothing short of incredible. Every meal we had was great. If you are looking for a place to disconnect and just relax, this is it. If you are looking for a place to hike and explore there are plenty of trails nearby, kayaks to roam the adjacent hurricane holes, and plenty of marine life to snorkel on. The beach is long and private. The rooms have an incredible unfettered view of the sunrise. We will definitely be back.

Just returned from an 8 day stay at this fantastic place. Gillian and George and all the staff were so welcoming. We felt like we were visiting friends. They went out of their way to assure we had everything we needed to make for a wonderful experience. Our room was spacious and clean with an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. Waking up to that each morning was heavenly. The food was excellent. Breakfast is included and diffferent each morning. We had ours on the deck overlooking the harbor. On Mondays George does a barbecue and we had delicious lobster and steak. The Island is gorgeous with opportunity to kayak, snorkel, hike, shell and just relax. George, Gillian and Greg took us to Great Exuma for our tours and boat rental and were very accommodating with our schedules. We couldn’t have picked a better place and will definitely be back. Thank you Gillian, George, Greg, Marie, Igenue, Keva, Denise and Nick for making this a vacation we will always remember.

Beautiful, isolated beaches. A good place to get off the grid and simply relax, as Stocking Island is laid back and very much removed from the hustle of most resorts, if that is your thing. Gillian and George (hotel owners) are wonderful, they make you feel like family. Each room has spectacular ocean views, and the view of Elizabeth Harbor from the dining area is fantastic as well. Breakfast is included and different every morning. On Monday they do a BBQ dinner, it was definitely our FAV! We took a kayak to the Blue Hole and did some snorkeling. Saw some colorful fish, as well as a small nurse shark. Highly recommend renting a boat to hit different places up and down the harbor for great a snorkeling adventure.
