As we like to experience the local culture, we just walk outside the hotel and you can find traditional local market, wholesale markets, restaurants, etc. The location is convenience and everything is within local walking distance. We stayed at the Deluxe Room and the bed was very comfortable & clean. Note: this is a queen bed & if you are a couple used to king bed or family with kids, you probably want to look at different room.

The staff were wonderful and most importantly professional and knowledgeable as well. Do ask them about local restaurants, sightseeing, etc. We loved the free breakfast buffet...it was delicious, fresh and quality food. We got to know locally grown coffee... simply very good & aromatic, as well as homemade pineapple jam. We also tried dinner at the restaurant and it did not disappoint us....try the 'Bangka Bay Bouillabaisse' and 'Nasi Culture Royale'. Highly recommended.

There are great many histories in this hotel. If you are into architectural, this is a great colonial hotel to explore as they preserved many histories and treated it respectfully. Do ask the staff to give you an educational tour of the hotel.

Newly open and well reconstructed, this hotel is tastefully decorated in timeless elegant touch. Am amazed on how they maintain their hundred years old tiles, simply beautiful.
As a solo traveler i was totally at ease there, the sleep quality was good, the room were comfy and clean, early in the morning i slightly hear the church's bell rung which remind me of my Europe trip back in years. The staff are lovely and friendly. Overall i have experienced the finest and the details effort. I am glad that i chosen this hotel over the other one.
Tips, forget not to try 'nasi goreng menumbing' ask the staff to show you best 'martabak bangka jaya?' And the locale kopi tiam

The hotel was restored from its former old Dutch building. Much of the items from the past was preserved such as Italian terrazzo and the 200 year old stairs with wood that is no longer available.

The design was a mixed of modern but does not overwhelm and honor the integrity and charm of the old building. White clean decor, lots of photos of old Bangka makes this place a good stay.

I stayed at the Junior Suite which is quite spacious with comfortable bed and pillow. Great FREE wifi throughout the facility.

They tried to immerse lots of Bangka local ingredients and food in their food and beverage. Its quite rare that hotels pay attention like this.

The hotel is very beautifully restored and I love the service of the people here. The location right in the middle of the market in Pangkal Pinang city so can be a bit noisy i the morning to late afternoon and the surrounding seems dirty but once you are inside of the hotel everything is the other way around.

I also love the location so at night time I can walk to the famous road there for Ase otak2, tofu sui, Anggrek restaurant, etc.

The breakfast is very good, though selection is not much but tasty! Try their baked bread and mie Bangka with homemade soy milk. I ate so much till I gain weight! Lucky it's a buffet otherwise I need to spend so much money on breakfast! The room also come with free minibar (2 small box of Teh Kotak) :)

The negative point of the hotel :
1. Superior room is very small with small bathroom and once you shower, the water spill all over the bathroom.
2. Refill of the breakfast need to speed up, seems like you have to always ask for refill. Like on 1st day, they run out of mie Bangka.

These negative point however did not really bother me, so I will definitely will recommend this hotel and will be come back to stay if I happen to be visit Bangka again.

Hotel is located in the market area. Hotel building is very old, but the room is very nice and clean. I stayed at the signature suite, the room is not very large, but it is comfortable. The bath room is quite large with a complete amenities. Room does not have any windows, this is one of the minus points. There a bath tub in the room, located out side the bath room.
Breakfast is good. Service is good. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is in the central area.

One of the fanciest hotel and rich with history I've been. The place is gorgeous and we love every details. But there's room for improvement like the cleanliness of the breakfast, flies are everywhere. The pool is renovated that time, the restroom is small, we wish we upgraded to a better room, since their price is budget reasonable. The premise is right behind a wet market, hence, always expect a traffic jam. The service was good and the people are wonderful. We would probably go back there again and took amazing pictures again.

Authentic and first class hotel in the middle of Pankalpinang. Garuda cancelled our flight so we arrived at the hotel one day later as per our reservation. Hotel management was great and very professional to resolve this when we informed them about our delay. Yacob at the reception was great and helped us organize a trip to Muntok to see the real Menumbing (the resort where the Dutch kept president Soekarno and vice president Hatta during the revolution). He also helped us to visit the Bangka Tin Winning (BTW) company where my grandfather worked before WWII. Very emotional to hear about the Bangka Massacre and the realization that my family survived all of this. Back in the hotel we enjoyed the large swimming pool, the restaurant and service provided by a competent and friendly staff.

The room was adequate but a bit too small. Would highly recommend spending a bit more for some more space (especially the bathroom). Also, the restaurant was out of beer which was an unexpected issue, however, they resolved this by serving beer in cans...

For real Bangka snacks (fish cakes) we recommend restaurant Ase not too far away from the hotel. Also, shopping for Bangka batik is a must.

We loved the design and the friendly and caring staff. The food in the restaurant was good, breakfast was average. After 9.00 some items ran out.

In the weekend the pool is open to non guests, what means 40 people in and around it. Although we got great service to show us the route to the beach, we thought it was too far and moved to another place. (30 min on scooter)

I recommend this hotel if you need to go to the city a few days. For a week of holiday i would find something on walking distance to the beach.

Stayed there for only 1 night, upgraded to junior suite. The staff was very friendly, really make my day. The ambiance of the common area was beyond expectation. The room was okay, but they use old style window, so no soundproof. Early morning market was very noisy. Minibar was free. The breakfast was so so, but the Bangka Noodle was delicious. Bad coffee... Luckily I bring my own VELOCE Coffee, and asked the kind barista to make it for me to start my day. Keep up the friendly experience!

The hotel is in the market behind the Ramayana Dept Store. At first I thought it's a very small hotel. But when you came in (because we arrived here at night) it was beautiful. white building with many lights. The staffs are very nice. The taste of the restaurant also ok. Because it's near the market so we can easily walk to look for things.
