What a fantastic 2 nights me and my partner had at this hotel. At £38/39 a night, this really is the definition of a budget hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, and I requested extra pillows/blankets which were given to me no problem. One lady was called Beth, and the other was called Elena, also the blonde lady at reception in the morning but I unfortunately did not catch her name. I was really impressed with their service. You get free tea and coffee from the reception 24/7 which was a nice touch. The bed was not the comfiest, however for under £40 a night you can’t really go wrong. Air-con in the room was fiddly but Elena came and sorted it out very quickly. This is by far the best and cheapest hotel I have stayed in for a long time. I will definitely be staying here again!

The staff are the ones that made our experience memorable. They went above and beyond. The location has easy access to motorway. I am making it a 4 instead of a 5 because a guest was smoking in the nearby room and caused us discomfort through the night.

I have been travelling and using this Hotel on and off over the last few years .It is well placed for the A38 and A50 as well as the creature comforts of the Dragon pub in the near by Village ,an easy walk down the hill to Willington , or the Pizza pub of the Bull in Repton . Both of these venues are worth a trip to as the food and beer in both is superb Next to the IBIS is a Shell Garage with EV charging and Mini Waitrose useful features The service at the IBIS is superb with a smile each time I arrive . they always try to go that bit further for a Guest and usually recall my room asks.

Despite its location adjacent to the junction of the A38 and A50 (with the B5008 from the East side of Burton-on-Trent also terminating at the junction), the landscaping of the site means the traffic noise is much quieter than you might expect. In fact, when I awoke I could hear sheep in the adjacent field more clearly than the traffic! One down side to the location is that the hotel is a significant distance from the telephone exchange that serves it. As such, the (complimentary) Wi-Fi suffers from low speeds and high latency. Rooms are compact, and come in Twin, Double and Triple varieties, with the latter having a Double bed with a bunk bed above it at right angles. They all have a sink, toilet and shower, along with a small desk and chair, TV and a roller blind in lieu of curtains. In common with other ibis hotels, there's forced air ventilation rather than full air conditioning, but it does the job. As a budget hotel (I paid just £45.03 for my stay, which included breakfast), there are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, but complimentary Twinings Everyday tea and a selection of fruit infusions are available in the lobby, with coffee setting you back £1. Breakfast is served buffet style and consists of pretty much what you'd expect: Croissants, mini american muffins, bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, hot drinks, fruit juice, cheese, cooked meats, and a limited selection of hot items (baked beans, bacon and sausages). Unlike most hotels, they have a conventional toaster rather than a conveyor one, giving you control over how well done your toast is. A selection of jams and spreads, and a choice of butter or margarine, are available to go with it. Overall, I'd stay here again if I was in the area and it was along my route, but it's fair to say that I wouldn't make a detour specifically to do so.

I find this place an excellent option when working in the area. Rooms are clean and reasonably sized for one. The prices tend be reasonable and the receptionists are always very friendly. Thanks to Sylwia for her patience with me with the dodgy room key.
