This hotel is mainly used as a overnight stop and does a fabulous job of having spotless rooms and providing great information about travel to and from the airport. The boy on the desk late at night is charming, the elderly couple who own it charming and helpful.
We booked Hotel Corali at the last minute after having to rethinking our departure to Tinos, leaving from Rafina can cut the time of your ferry trip to some Cyclades island by many hours! The nice thing about Hotel Corali is that is is literally 3 minutes walking to the point of departure for all the ferries as where most other hotels seem to be out of town and significantly more expensive. The room was simple, but clean. The host was responsive by email and made arrangements for us arriving at midnight.
We stayed in september in hotel Corali, owned by a frienly and helpfull elderly couple (70+).The room on the first floor was freshly renovated with tv,refrigerator, coffee machine, and small but nice bathroom and al large terrace (20m2). As located on the main square, near the ferry terminal, it's a perfect location for a short stay on the way to the islands or the nearby airport.
We pre booked a double room or two nights & arrived off the 9pm ferry. As we entered the reception we were met with stale tobacco smoke from the chain smoking owner. The helpful young man took our cases to the first floor room, walking over a large dog asleep on the stairs.. The room is very small with a double & single bed, one small wardrobe, a dressing table & a chair. There is also a small fridge, kettle & coffee making facilities & there was a TV. The bathroom is tiny too but the showers worked & the water was hot. Unfortunately, the stale tobacco smoke had found its way in the room too. There is a good sized balcony attached to the room overlooking the main square with 3 chairs & a table. Directly below the balcony is a periptero & a coffee shop with a few tavernas very near by. The air conditioning unit worked fine. There is an electric shutter to seal of the balcony, double glazed doors & curtains to effectively cut out any noise from outside. The bed sheets & towels were pristine. We have stayed in the Corali previously, when at this time, the only other hotel in Rafina, the Avra was fully booked. The room is in much need of refurbishment & about 25 years out of date. There was only one useable power point provided by an extension lead. As previously noted by other reviewers the Corali is OK for a night or two but no longer. The price of 60 Euros per night is far too much for the poor overall standard of this hotel.…
My friend and I had to stay in Refina to catch an early morning ferry to Mýkonos and Hotel Corali was perfect. The room had two twin beds and was very clean! The location of the hotel is in the middle of a square that has good restaurants and entertainment. Further more, it is a 3 minute walk from the Refina Ferry Port! I’d recommend this hotel any backpackers or people traveling and need a good rest for one night. This hotel had all essentials!
