This travelodge is in a convenient location and there is a variety of restaurants on the door step literally within a minutes walk. Polite and friendly staff were more than helpful and the rooms were clean and fresh

Gateshead Travelodge is actually near to Blaydon and across the River Tyne from Scotswood Road, Newcastle. It is well situated for the shopping extravaganza that is the Metro Cente, which is very near. There is frequent and late bus services to Gateshead and Newcastle from bus stops close by. So, although it is out of town, it is by no...

Pair of trousers left in room on arrival from previous guest, sticky stuff all over TV remote and desk. Hairs and black marks on small bed. Bathroom very dated and toilet didn't flush very well without pumping handle.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights 11th & 12th January. The weather was freezing cold. Michelle on reception went above and beyond the call of duty. She couldn't have done any more, asking if we were warm enough in the room, if we needed extra bedding or anything else to make our stay better. Michelle was knowledgeable...

I stayed at the Travelodge Gateshead over the Christmas period 2016. I would normally spend this time of year at home with the extended family, celebrating it in the old fashion traditional way. But this year was different as my main reason for being away from home this year was that my daughter in law was expecting a baby. This...

The room was clean and spacious. We had our dog with us when we stayed and the staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly. We weren't disturbed by any noises from outside or inside the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Loved the hotel in general, surrounded by places to eat, pleasant staff in the hotel who could not do much more to help our stay to be comfortable. Two Security guys there Paul and Darren were very helpful guiding us about the clubs in town and taxis prices, would definitely book again
