Booked a package deal to Hotel More with Jet2. his was the cheapest hotel in the area for solo traveller wanting Half Board. From the mixed reviews and very low cost I wasn't expecting much, how wrong was I! To dispel some of the earlier criticisms: My room was in excellent condition, as was the rest of the hotel. Yes the walls are thin, as they are in lots of hotels at the lower price end but these weren't overly so. Noise was more prevalent from people talking on their balconies on the side overlooking the adult only pool, a problem of any design based on a "courtyard". I was there in Oct and largely, but not exclusively, an older generation so most had gone to bed by 10-11pm so no noise after 11; would be more of an issue when hotel busier. But you get this kind of noise in any hotel with balconies. The food was NOT bland, think some people want Michelin Star standard for Poundland prices! There were lots of options on the buffet with: Breakfast - cereals, fresh sliced and whole fruit, bread, continental (cheese meats etc), croissants, pastries, full cooked - all to a good standard. Dinner -Soup, salad, starters, choice of about 8 main courses, different every night, Spanish rice dish (different one every night), pasta, potatoes; deserts including fruits. The food range was impressive and always tasty to a good standard and plentiful (brilliant for cyclists needing to fuel up). I paid about £5 a day to upgrade to half board!!!!!!! An absolute bargain. Bar meals - a simple menu but always delivered quickly and totally adequate at a reasonable price. The hotel is isolated from the main tourist area of Puerto Alcudia (other than the "English" pub 400m away). There are better pool areas but where this hotel scores is the stunning views of the Pollence Bay. There is a small beach next to the hotel, adequate but not going to win "picture postcard" competition; there is a nicer beach 10-15 min walk to the North East. The large beach and tourist area of Puerto Alcudia is about 2.5 miles away and that beach is expansive and stretches for some 14km. Overall: I was impressed, very impressed, by the standard of the hotel, particularly the food, friendly staff, views and the excellent value for money. I only give 5***** when truly deserved (allowing for cost) Hotel More Alcudia easily achieved this. The only real negative for this hotel is that they close for the winter so I am going to have to stay elsewhere when I return in March :-(…

Hotel was fine, a bit dated but did its job. Place was clean, food choices were limited but what there was, was good. Rooms were ok although pillows were flat. Pool area was nice and overlooks the sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel would benefit from a refurb.
Stayed at Hotel More for 2 weeks. Good points it is in a very quite area which is good for relaxing the beach is just across the road takes literally 2 minutes to walk to, pool area is the same distance plenty of sun loungers. Food at the hotel was very good all the hotel staff were always friendly and polite. Bad points this is a non smoking hotel, room could do with a refurbishment also no fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room and the biggest issue for myself was that the walls of the room are so thin you can hear everything and I mean everything so was quite difficult trying to sleep.
If fun, noise and things to do for the kids is what you want from your holiday, then choose somewhere else on the island. Nice clean hotel, nice food, pleasant staff, close to the beach. The big deep pool by the sea is the family friendly one, the pool out the back with a maximum depth of 1.25m is adults only, figure that one out. 25 min walk to Alcudia old town was worth it for the market etc. The 20 minute taxi ride to Porto Pollenca for a bit of night life was also worth it and we found a fun Karaoke bar called Nostalgia. It's been nice, but I wouldn't come to this part of the resort again.
