Stayed here for just one night. Friendly welcome and room was comfortable with free bottle of water. Great breakfast with plenty to choose from. As I was away with work it was good to have a strong wifi connection in room and heating in room worked perfectly ( which helped when you have been walking around in the chilly weather...

This is a hidden gem of Andalusia and we are so glad that we found it. The reception by the hostel owner was lovely and within a few minutes we were in our room which was quite large with nice ensuite bathroom, table and chairs and a balcony overlooking the garden. It is about 10 minutes walk to the harbour...

Had a one night stay here. Nice size room, comfortable beds, fridge, a/c, ceiling fan. Standard bathroom with toiletries provided, no hairdryer but one may have been provided if I'd asked. We were on the first floor and there was a nice terrace area at the top of the stairs with tables, chairs and loungers. Breakfast was good with plenty...

I have been here for several times, different years and seasons. And will come back! It is a familiar hostal managed with a lot of care, both for clients and details. The building is new, very clean, beds are comfortable and breakfast is quite good. Location is very quiet in spite of being so centric.

Good value. Good sized rooms, breakfast included, 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants. Rooms are clean and quiet, bed is rather firm though. Owner is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and loved Cabo de Gata. Peaceful and relaxing place to visit.

I stayed here for three nights in April. I switched from I stayed one night in the Hostal El Dorado and then switched to Hostal El Puerto Genoves. It was a good move. The room was comfortable. There was a small terrace with room for two chairs and a table. It doesn't have a good view. The location is convenient....

We stayed 3 nights in July and very much enjoyed our stay! The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The location was nice with easy parking on the street and at walkable distance from the beach, small stores and restaurants. The room was always very clean and had a small balcony. However, we enjoyed the terrace more, as we...

We stayed two nights at the hostel in January. The staff was very professional and competent. Very clean and well organised. Great breakfast. The only place we could find including breakfast in San Jose in January. We had to leave before breakfast time on the last day and a small breakfast was placed in our room the night before. Would...

Very friendly manager. My gluten intolerance was no problem for breakfast. Very convenient location for the town restaurants and bars etc, and for getting in and out of town to explore local beaches and further afield. Rooms well appointed and bathrooms seem very new. The only issues to bear in mind are the beds are hard - I was comfortable...

“The hostal backs on to the Rambla, where San Jose's Sunday market is held every Sunday morning. If you are staying on a Saturday night and want to sleep in on Sunday, may be best to avoid Rambla facing rooms, as the stallholders arrive quite early to set up their stalls.”
