So Saturday night and a first visit to the Churchill arms. My brother always eats here when he visits us so decided we should go, and as I said in the title I really wish I had been before. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming with a loud buzz, but not in any way annoying, of conversation. Service is friendly and...

Booked a table for 12-30 ,arrived at 12-10. Bar staff folding laundry on bar, shown to table ,continued folding laundry on bar.We were the only couple in the pub until 12-40,not a good sign on a Saturday.Sevice good, but food unremarkable. Expensive for what we had.Inside of pub needs serious update, quite tired.

Visited with our son for my husbands birthday. Food was outstanding. Staff friendly and attentive. Menu limited which is good as they are focusing on perfecting just a few meals. Only negative comment we sat near the doors to the garden area and it was cold.

We booked Sunday lunch for us and our son and his family after finding this pub on trip advisor. It was a lovely sunny day and the drive down through the Cotswold's was lovely. The pub was well patronised and our table for 6 in an alcove was ideal. The home made bread which we ordered to nibble on while...

We were cycling in the Cotswolds and chose to stop over in Paxford at the Churchill Arms, a lovely pub / hotel in a rural village. The bar & restaurant areas are cosy and tastefully decorated. There is a nice seating area outside if weather permits. We enjoyed our 3 course dinner immensely and the wine list and local draft...

By a country mile, the best food we had in the Cotswolds. The service was also excellent - super-friendly and accommodating. The quality and presentation of the food clearly came from a chef who really cares about what he is producing. The lamb and the steak were both superb, as was the truffle Macaroni. Would highly recommend.

We had a beautiful meal in The Churchill Arms on Saturday evening. We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent, with the heritage tomato and avocado starter and chocolate pudding deserving a special mention. When we return to the Cotswolds, we will make sure to visit again.

The chef has turned this place around, he creates yummy food! Staff lovely, just a great place to go spend time with friends, or with family. Outdoors both front and back. Nice in winter with fire, or summer. Book at weekends.

Last Sunday, 26th June, my family and I booked a table at the Churchill to enjoy a gorgeous meal together. It was very busy so we began with a drink at the bar. We ordered our food then went and sat out our table. Quickly the food came through only missing a portion of calamari to share; which we were...

We booked for a midweek meal. Plenty of room in the restaurant but perhaps booking is needed on other nights. Wednesday was fish night! We chose off this special menu - 2 courses for £17.00. We assumed the dishes would therefore be a complete meal. My choice of plaice was very disappointing. The fish was lovely but it only came...
