We stayed in the family room which was beautiful. It had all the charm of an old building but with a modern touch. Very clean and staff lovely. The grounds are very pretty and even had a small play area to tire out my son. The cost was good for the room and the breakfast cooked fresh and piping hot.... More

Booked last minute at the Bodkin and arrived early evening , the lady owner showed us to our room named Jane Austen. Large double fronted bedroom with double bed not king size, nice modern and clean bed linen , secondary glazing so unable to open windows but room facing main road so can be noisy but not when we stayed.... Stopped at the Bodkin for a meal after a walk around Westonbirt. We were seated straight away and service was quick and efficient. I had the goats cheese risotto which was really good. The children's food was brought out earlier than the adults which worked out well as we ended up finishing our food at the same time as the... More

We were searching for a B&B late in the afternoon and, by chance, came upon Bodkin House, a traditional country inn. There was a convenient car park so we went in and were offered a room upstairs fronting the main road. The room was spacious and comfortable and any noise from the road eventually diminished to get a good night's... More

Arrived here on business with my colleague and they had us in a twin room on file what was incorrect but was easily sorted. I was In a room with main road beside it and had a sleepless night. The food was nice and hotel owners were very pleasant but the room noise was a problem for me, apart from... More

I understand that this hotel had been visited by the hotel inspector. If this is true and she were to return now she would be disappointed. My wife and I went for a cream tea having previously 'phoned ahead to book. When we arrived it was almost as if we had taken them by surprise as no table had been... More

We had a wonderful stay at Bodkin House while traveling with another couple. Our friends had stayed here before and brought us back to this lovely inn. The hospitality of the owners was so warm and friendly. The food was excellent and obviously a favorite of locals as well. Late afternoons on the deck with a glass of wine or... More

This was our second stay at the Bodkin House. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the cost very reasonable. We stayed with our friends who were also very pleased with their stay. It is a privately owned and run hotel, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We were there for 4 nights and ate at the... More

Called in for a quick coffee after a long journey. The bar looked lovely with an interesting fire place but no free tables, the owner took us into the dining room with sofas but again no free spaces. He was very apologetic and we sat in the the reception area. He soon came back to tell us that seats had... More
