Amazing roast dinner. I phoned to book a table with only 15 mins notice however Wendy and her team found my family a table without hesitation. Friendly welcome bu the staff and drinks offered. We ordered our food and was told there could be a wait. However within 15 mins 3 massive and hot roast dinners arrived with loads of... More

We eat here regularly. We are always impressed with the food and how good value for money it is - the portions are very generous and the food is always tasty. The staff are always happy and friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable plus we love that we can take our dog in with us!

Another perfect Sunday lunch was had at the beacon. Nothing at all to half complain about. Amazingly food a warm welcome and an excellent choice of cider, about 30 although I've not tried them all. A hidden gem well worth a visit and I'm sure you'll return.

We booked the Beacon for lunch for 28 people to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary last weekend. The whole experience was great from beginning to end. I spoke with Gareth several times in the run-up to the meal as our requirements changed several times He was always friendly and accommodating and made sure the day went exactly as planned. The... We enjoyed a brief overnight stay here on Friday. We drove down from Scotland and arrived at 12.35am. This had been previously arranged with the very friendly landlady Wendy and we were met by her husband and a few locals still drinking in the bar when we arrived. We were a group of 5 ladies and we were easily fitted... More

Fantastic food, thoughtful staff. Made our Golden Wedding special as nothing too much trouble. Bedrooms comfortable and breakfast excellent. Also perfect for walkers. Lovely area to stay, rural with plenty of local attractions.

Great subday lunch, excellent quaily, choce, service and value. The pub is a bit of a find but worth it, booking for sunday lunch i would say is essential as the word has got out and is very busy, but this did not detract from the service, food etc

I live in Suffolk and my mother lives in Gloucester took her to the Beacon inn for Sunday lunch after my father recommended it to me. My mother is a fussy eater so it's always a challenge when we go out for lunch. All I can say is wow the food was piping hot the selection of vegetables was off... More
