This was our third homestay on our trip to India. It has 4 rooms but while we were there just one other was occupied with a lovely couple who we shared meals with. The owners live in the large house and the homestay guests occupy a annex building which is beautifully designed in the gardens- all the accommodation is set...

This homestay is in a coffee and tea plantation which is great to wander around. Rolling hills with mature planting. Great guided tour from Anwer explaining about the plants and the cycle for planting and picking. Delicious food served in the main house with milk from their own cows. Drive to the place was easy. So no getting lost on the way. The drive from the entrance to the parking defines the place. You are into the real wonderful old times of Kerala before the urbanisation began. It's all lush green, the environment, and warmth of the hosts keeps you engaged even when the breeze blew cold due to...

Although we stayed here for short, but the experience was amazing. The rooms were neat, interiors beautiful and verandah opened to lush greenery. Food by Reema aunty was delicious and uncle had many stories to tell. We went for bamboo rafting and loved the experience. It's a serene place to relax and we plan to revisit some day.

We were on our way to Nagerhole via Nilambur and wanted to stop at a plantation along the way. Our hosts at the homestay in Nilambur arranged with the owners of Pranavan, Reva and Ravindran, for us to spend the afternoon there. Their hospitality was second to none - we first had a guided tour through their plantation, which lasted...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pranavam Homestays is Wayanad's first homestay and still the best. The 4 spacious rooms each have a mezzanine lounge area, a very spacious main bedroom and individual balconies that look out onto acres of coffee plantations, tea estates and forested mountains. Pranavam is located at Pozhuthana, just 5.5 kms from Vythiri on the main Calicut highway, and 8 kms from Kalpetta, the district capital. The spectacular scenery at Banasura dam and lake is just 15kms away, while other attractions like Pookode lake, Lakkidi viewpoint and Edakkal caves are located less than an hours drive away. We are famous for our "ela sadya" - Kerala's multi-course meal traditionally served on plantain leaves - it is a meal to savour. A guided plantation walk around our spice gardens will help you work away the calories gently. Come down and enjoy the most relaxing vacation you have ever had!!! ... more   less
