Bardia Homestay is an excellent place to stay when you want to check out the National Park. You can book many activities from the homestay. And we could plan them the evening before going, everything would be arranged the next morning. The guides are nice and very good at spotting animals. It is nice to have Breakfast, lunch & dinner by Bardia Homestay. Tip: pack some jungle coloured clothing!

We were very friendly welcomed by Sonja after a long Jeep drive from Lumbini. The lodge is very clean, european standard equipped and the food, cooked fresh at their own cuisine, marvelous! Budhy and his guide team are guiding professional through the Bardia National Park, either at a walking safari or a jeep safari. It is an unforgettable experience to be in the jungle searching for the animals. It seems that all guides having special eyes as they see really everything even the smallest birds far away! We have not seen tigers but, according to the fresh traces the tiger has probably seen us!!!!!! We hope to come back one day!

We had a whole week at Bardia Homestay and really felt at home. Sonja and Budhi are great hosts, nothing is too much bother. We designed our whole trip across Nepal with Sonja's help, it was invaluable. They are friendly, informative and want you to have the best experience of the area, which we did. We were sad to leave.

Such a lovely stay! Sonja and Budhi were such amazing hosts and their place is beautiful. If you're needing an escape from the cities, this is where you need to be! The tours around the park were such great ways to spend our days, as well as the local cooking class we did. Thanks again Sonja and Budhi, if we find ourselves back in Nepal, we will be staying here again!

A very nice homestay, relaxed, good lodges, excellent guides, nice food. The guides really want you to spot that tiger and do everything (within the safe zones) to make this dream come true. Do not forget to sleep a night in the tree-house in the buffer-zone! the owners Sonja (Dutch) and Budhi (Nepalese) make you feel at ease and give you a lot of good advice what to do during, but also after youre visit, when you continue youre trip. I was there in 2022 on my own, stayed for 5 days. this may 2023 i went with my husband, stayed again this long. Just because it feels so good to be there and to keep spotting tigers......

Bardia Homestay is simply fantastic, it is so good I just had to return again this year. The owners and staff are all very open and welcoming, professional and competent ... and very helpful. The accomadations are clean, comfortable and well equipped with all of the amenities to make your stay pleasurable. The food menu is excellent with a good variety of delicious meals to choose from, all freshly prepared. Regarding things to do: the most obvious activity is to go animal spotting in Bardia National Park which is just up the road. The guides at Bardia Homestay are clearly passionate about their work, experts in the faune and flora of the park and very happy to share their knowledge. There is a selection of activities available (rafting, jeep safaris, camping, forest trehouse stay...) and Bardia Homestay will orgnise to meet your interests and expectations. All you have to do is get out of the comfortable bed in the morning on time! For solo trvavelers, Bardia Homestay is very safe. I don't really know what more to say. Bardia Homestay was wonderful last year (the comments in my previous review remain valid), so good in fact that I returned this year, and so good that I may indeed return also next year. Don't hesitate, just book your place!…
