My daughter in law organised a swim and afternoon tea. Could not fault. Freshly prepared sandwiches, beautiful cakes and of course scone with clotted cream with jam. I was in heaven. Thank you George who welcomed us and Francy who checked if we needed anything. Well done Cotswold water park
Lovely swim & afternoon tea , perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with family . Weather was also perfect to sit alongside the lake. George and the team made us feel very welcome and spoilt with all The tasty food & drink . Will defiantly return again with more of the family .
We enjoyed a short break at this hotel. It is in pleasant surroundings with lakeside walks nearby. The hotel managed Covid restrictions well, without being too restrictive. The breakfast buffet was good, with self serve items sealed and staff serving hot items and toast. Dinner was also good and was included in the deal we booked. Drinks are pricey, though. The only disappointment was that our room was not serviced. I can understand that some people may not want staff coming into their room, but I would have preferred to have been offered at least a hygiene clean and proper mugs. Also, it is worth noting that you cannot use the pool unless you book a spa treatment.
Stayed at this hotel last week and had a great night away and enjoyed a lovely meal in the Brasserie. Staff very friendly and professional hotel was very clean and room was lovely. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
We visited for a spa day which was a thoughtful gift from my brother and his wife. Lovely staff especially the manager who greeted us. Pool was nice and plenty of space to swim decent lengths. The hot stone beds were good although only one was working. Great to be able to use the sauna which is spacious. There was also a machine dispensing ice, a cold bucket shower and a rain shower (my husband told me it was very cold!). It was relaxing although it got busy with nowhere for people to sit in the end and so we left and headed to the relaxation room. The room was quite small but with dimmed lights and access to water. Sadly they had plastic cups! Then just outside there is a champagne bar which was lovely but not sure if it was in action. We were booked onto the dry floatation experience. It's like a water bed which is slightly deflated and so moulds to your body. Such an odd experience and you even get a duvet!! We both fell asleep and woke feeling more refreshed and it helped with some aching muscles. We were given robes and slippers on arrival and also a towel. The lockers needed a pound coin but we rarely take any cash out these days and so didn't have anything on us and so had to carry our stuff around with us the whole time. It's a shame they have these lockers and don't have a system where you can insert a counter or something similar in place of a coin. They had body wash and shampoo in the showers. Really pleasantly surprised to see both hairdryers and hair straighteners in the changing rooms. Also a machine to spin dry your swimsuit. We stayed on for afternoon tea which was delicious. They checked dietary requirements when we arrived at the spa and again when we arrived at the restaurant. We had a nice outlook to the lake and polished off the afternoon tea. I'm not a fan of tea but they had fruity tea for anyone else who is the same. We had a short stroll around the grounds afterwards and it's a huge hotel. Lots of places to eat and drink and scenery is nice. We even saw a heron on the lake. A lovely relaxing day with good facilities and great staff.…
