We booked 3 nights a poolvilla after arriving in Thailand. So we could wait in style for our PCR results. The poolvilla was ok but not spotless. The Terras was not 100% clean, chairs outside with bird poop… The room was ok but for 250€ per night we expect to have a top luxury feeling and that was not the case. Breakfast was very limited due to COVID and the fact that there were not many tourists. Not all services were available. We understand the situation but then they should adapt the price. It is a beautiful resort but don’t spend 250€ at a poolvilla it is not worth the money.

I had booked a pool villa here and under the test & Ho arrival scheme in Phuket needed info & confirmations from the hotel for my Thai Pass application. Despite URGENT emails asking for this info I didn’t receive one reply - even when I begged them. Given the state of the Thai tourist industry one would think they would have been better at the admin and right on top of it. Absolutely disgraceful service. If you can’t assist your guests with the basics in times like these what is the point of you.

The Sunsuri is a stunning hotel with wonderful views over sea and lake. The staff are truly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Within walking distance of the beach, bars and restaurants, the Sunsuri is in the ideal location.

We've really enjoyed our stay for five days in one of the private pool villas. The resort is beautifully integrated into the mountain landscape and boasts fantastic views of Nai Harn Lake. I cannot agree with previous comments on the "aging" of the resort; we've found it to be in excellent shape and well maintained. Highly recommend a pool villa due to their supreme views and absolute privacy. The hotel is ideally located just outside of the Nai Harn and Rawai restaurant and shopping streets. So you can walk there within just a few minutes if you like. The beach is also just a short walk and a few minutes away, while also a free hotel shuttle is provided. Nai Harn generally as a location for stay in Phuket is also highly recommended.

The hotel is starting to age and since it is occupied at a maximum of 10%, it does not seem to be very well maintained. The deckchairs around the main swimming pool must not have been changed for several months (plants and dirt are embedded underneath), a drink has been left by the slide all week, the breakfast is much less generous than 'habitually. The gym is totally abandoned, the surprise was to find products from the French brand Stimium for sports nutrition, but no one should use them. There remains the magnificent setting (unless the Novotel is built next door), near the magnificent Nai Harn beach. Despite the less than 10% occupancy, a late check out was not possible for the start, really a shame to keep a negative final image. The Sunsuri was very good a few years ago, there are much better now

New stay at U Sunsiri. The period is not easy in Thailand with travel restrictions and the hotel is far from full, we often have the swimming pool for ourselves. It is quite pleasant for us, but obviously difficult for the Thais. Even if the hotel is getting old, it is still just as pleasant, with a beautiful sea view (waiting for the construction of the Novotel to start one day and could spoil the view of Nai Harn Bay a little). Several things are closed in the hotel (the 2nd bar, the kids corner…) but that is understandable. The fitness room is open, even if it is not used very often. Surprised to have seen produits Stimium, the number 1 French Sport nutrition products, but i already saw these products in Sofitel Bangkok and Chatrium Riverside Bangkok. Here there was Stimium Thermoshape a fat burner, Stimium Hydro Off, Stimium GINGKO, Stimium KG, Stimium Bacopa, Stimium Ashwagandha, Stimium GABA, Stimium MVM and Vital LLR, Stimium SPIRU and all in self service. Generally speaking, if you like quiet place with amazing pool, that’s definitely a good place.

This was our first time staying at Sunsuri and we found the experience wonderful! The room was very comfortable and the food was delicious. Not to mention the pool! The waterslide was a great hit with the kids. The most outstanding part for us though was the service; everyone was incredibly polite and friendly! The staff gave us some great suggestions for our time in Phuket as well. (Picture: The view from our room)

We came here as our stay in the Phuket sandbox programme - although our stay was shortened after the government regulations changed. They were brilliant. Before we arrived, Naovarat K stayed up until 10pm Thai time to get our SHABA certificates to us so that we could apply for our CoE from the Thai embassy as soon as possible. The transfer from the airport was punctual and very comfortable. They welcomed us with great English and a welcome drink and ice lolly, and explained the whole sandbox protocol to us. Throughout the stay they were attentive and friendly - helping us arrange motorbike hire and provided excellent, reasonably priced room service. The breakfast food and service was excellent. The location is great - only 5 mins walk to one of the nicest beaches on Phuket. The pool is stunning, with a high/deep jumping pool and platform and a water slide which are both great fun. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. You will not get better value, service or comfort anywhere else in Phuket. Thank you Sunsuri from the English couple in 3307 - we will be back!!
