My partner and I spent 2 nights at Eco-Lodge and it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. Segundo, our guide, exceeded every expectation we had. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us through multiple jungle hikes, the local village next door, to monkey island, and even fishing on the river. He taught us about the culture, the ecosystem, and could tell us every species of bird we encountered just by their sound. His passion for his work poured out of everything he did. He solely made our trip better than I could have imagined. As for the lodge, it's an eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest. Expect bugs and the bare minimum, but allow yourself to take in the stars and the sounds at night. It's a beautiful, well-kept place with a dining space and a lounge space with hammocks. Segundo even has a bunch of books in the dining hall if you want to learn more about the region. It's literally the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect with nature. This trip was worth every single penny and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much, Segundo and team!

I've just come back from a 3 day 2 night Amazon rainforest experience with Maniti, I can honestly say it was an experience I'll never forget. The guide Edwin was professional all the time and had such enthusiasm for the wildlife trees and local villages even trekking at night in the jungle you were reassured by his knowledge and professionalism. The camp we stayed in was basic but the layout was fantastic with the main dinning hall serving the best food ever I would recommend this company to anyone looking for an adventure in the Amazon rainforest.

I just returned from a wonderful 3D/2N stay at Maniti Eco-Lodge. My guide Segundo was incredible. He knew absolutely everything about the jungle ecosystem, from the trees to the animals to the insects. He could identify each and every sound we heard on our jungle walks, and was able to follow them to find the source. In this way, we were able to see monkeys, all kinds of beautiful birds, and even a snake. He was excellent, full of great stories about Amazon culture and his experiences as a guide. I felt like a jungle expert by the end of my stay. The food was absolutely delicious - I'm not sure I've ever had better fish in my life. Each meal was different, and equally as good as the last. My cabin was a comfortable spot to sleep and spend time between activities. The shower was a good temperature and I had no problems with mosquitos. We got to meet some natives near camp, fish for piranha, and check out monkey island, all of which were a blast. I'd also recommend an ayahuasca ceremony at Maniti, which was a very positive experience. I was nervous beforehand, but Segundo and the shaman made me feel very comfortable, and ultimately I am very glad I partook. The only disappointment came at the end of my trip. I had thought that my return to the airport was included in the price of my booking, but was wrong. I was put on a boat back to Iquitos from the camp and told that a driver would be waiting to take me to the airport. When I made it back to Iquitos, the driver they had arranged for my airport commute made me pay a good amount to drive me to the airport. This was frustrating, as I had been under the impression that the trip back to the airport was included, and was fully prepared to tip my driver, but had not anticipated having to pay so much.

Our guide Segundo and the lodge staff were all wonderful. They really made our stay positive and a good experience. Segundo was passionate about the Amazon and the animals and that rubbed off on us. He was so knowledgeable and upbeat. The food was also delicious and they were able to accommodate the vegetarian in our group. I know coming out of Covid restrictions, there is going to be hiccups, but I did want to mention amenities and our ziplining experience. From the start, it looked like there was some confusion or lack of communication that it was reserved. A couple days later when we arrived to do it, the host lodge said we were too late and we would need to reschedule. If it weren't for Segundo's negotiations, we probably would have had to come back the next day. When we were finally all geared up and ready to start, we were then told 2 of the 3 ziplines were closed for maintenance. Overall, it was disappointing and we feel like we didn't receive the experience we paid for. I contacted the tour owner who had been responsive up until this point, to see if any refund could be considered based on what was promised and what we received. Still no word either way. The lodge itself is not anything fancy, but we were realistic about what we had paid for and what was possible in the middle of the jungle. We were hoping to have a toilet that flushed without leaking though. Despite letting the hosts know, the issue was never resolved and we ended up going next door to use the empty room's bathroom for the rest of the stay.
