Absolutely brilliant, cannot wait to go back in 5 months, highly recommend. Friendly staff, all rooms cleaned and tidy, good food.Great location 5* best part is watching Yannis work ha ha, very funny. Stunning views
Travelled with My teen Daughter via Tui. Day 1 of the holiday I stood on a screw which was protruding through the poorly layed artificial grass outside our room. Complained at reception, management awful. After a trip to the hospital & a prescription for €55 the hotel said they would pay on the condition I signed a disclosure letter, which I refused. Hospital advised not to use the pool for 3 days to avoid infection & no alcohol for 7 days with antibiotics (the entire duration of the holiday) No this could not of happened anywhere like reception suggested. You can clearly see by the picture the artificial grass is not secured properly. A child could have stood on that instead of me which would have been awful. After that reception staff did not want to know us. Messed about with late checkout & told on last day no & unhelpful with anything i asked at reception. Paid for balcony but had a public path with a table & 2 chairs. Ashtray had cigarette ends in everyday although we dont smoke. Noise from the generators above the room which kicked in every 10 minutes throughout the night, unbearable. Tui Advertised teens club however this is operated by Alltours which is a German company so pointless unless you speak the language. The holiday was very expensive & we were treated like dirt from an accident caused by the hotels shabby refurb. The only positives are the barmen at pool & beach bar always lovely. Short walk into town which is nice in the evening as not much happening at the hotel.…
This is a review for the benefit of any couple thinking of going to the Blue Sea Island. It is not for the benefit of the management. This hotel is described as new. It is not. It is newly refurbished. That means the infrastructure remains exactly the same as before. This hotel is described as ideal for families and couples. Certainly the former is true, but if as a couple you are looking for any sort of peace and quiet then you will certainly not get it here. This hotel is described as boho and chic. That is frankly laughable. I wonder if they have any idea what those words actually mean. The nitty gritty: We paid extra for a Seaview Room. Our room looked sideways, directly at the next hotel maybe 20 metres away, with the mountains in the background. To one side you could see the sea. Hence it was what we would describe as a Partial Seaview Room. We complained to TUI on arrival but the response came back from the hotel that the room was what they classed as a Seaview Room. And that was that. No attempt to deal with our complaint, or perhaps move us to a proper Seaview Room at any stage during our two weeks there. I don't know whether the hotel was running some special deal for families whilst we were there but we have never stayed in any hotel in 45 or so years which had so many children staying. There were literally periods during our stay when there were more children than adults. And not children who were in any way controlled by their parents either. Children running amok in the Dining Room (which was actually more like a School Canteen, but without any control), packs of a dozen children racing around screaming in the evening, children running down corridors late at night, at least 20 prams being pushed around. And so on. So never for one moment any sort of peace. Not really boho and chic then! A few firsts: Never seen parents queueing for cocktails late at night with a pram before (no child minding offered by the hotel), never seen 5 and 6 year olds coming to breakfast on their own before, presumably while their parents had a lie in, never seen a child, maybe 7 or 8, pushing a pram round the grounds of a hotel before, including out on a public road, all without any parents in sight. The food was generally poor. Buffets of course, and done to the lowest possible price point (my background is in military catering). Water baths not kept hot enough so food was often lukewarm at best. Much of meat/fish was frozen in my opinion. No fruit juice offered at breakfast, except from the usual dispensers which were available all day. You had to be at breakfast early - by 0730 say, or after 1000, to avoid the mayhem. We'd been there a week before we realised there was background music being played! If you left it late, certain things were not available - bananas on several occasions, oats to make up your own muesli were mysteriously rationed (perhaps because the hotel was closing at the end of the month). Staff - there were some excellent staff. They've been named before. But there were other staff who were sullen and rude. Some of the ladies with trollies in the Dining Room used them like battering rams. No way were they going to give way to guests! The children running everywhere caused several accidents that we saw; no doubt there were many more. We only saw one staff member wearing a name badge. Most were wearing face masks but 99% of them were worn incorrectly so as to be of no use whatsoever. Throughout our stay there was a smell of drains in the hotel. We had one day's rain when this was really exacerbated, with a strong smell of sewage around the lower stairwell which also permeated the Dining Room. Not pleasant! We mentioned it at Reception but they were not at all happy to be told. This was of course due to the old infrastructure of this supposedly new hotel, with rainwater filling the sewage tank and backing up into the hotel. the management were well aware of it as effluent lorries were pumping out the tank - by the beach area and Children's Club and then driving past our room. A smell of raw sewage also came and went near the steps down to the beach. And was in evidence in the outside sitting area by the Main Bar area on our last morning. Finally my partner went down with a severe bout of food poisoning when we ate at the a la carte restaurant. The TUI rep told us that the hotel was investigating this as a matter of urgency, but they actually did absolutely nothing. On the subject of the a la carte, we tried to book a week in advance for our anniversary but the sheets didn't go that far ahead, but rather than make a note of our booking as anyone who knew anything about customer service would have done, they just told us to come back in a couple of days. We did this but needless to say, the evening was then fully booked. The General Manager was always around but usually had his phone clamped to his ear and although we saw him speaking to guests on a couple of occasions, they approached him. We never saw him engage with guests to find out their experiences. Similarly there was a guy with tie in the Dining Room who we assumed was the Restaurant Manager. Never saw him engaging with guests either. There was only one pool - in the details it suggested there would be one by the beach - this didn't exist. So the pool was constantly noisy. And then the Entertainment Team came along and made it worse by putting on very loud music, some of which had extremely inappropriate lyrics for a hotel with hundreds of kids. Motherf------ anyone? There was one area which was adults only - down by the beach. Umbrellas and loungers for 8 couples, in a hotel of 331 rooms. Plus it was situated 20 metres from the Kid's Club. So "token gesture" springs to mind. The Beach area itself was tiny, with 50 or so umbrellas crammed cheek by jowl, so if that's your thing, you'll love it. All the barmen played their own choice of music. this wasn't necessarily a good thing. And down at the Beach Bar there was the bar music plus the music from the amphitheatre area competing for your attention. We had the bizarre situation of heavy rock being played one evening in the Reception area because that appeared to be the barman's choice. Cocktails were poor. Flat gin fizz etc. And the evening main barman was generally grumpy and unfriendly. No TUI rep was in attendance at the hotel, so all our communication was via the app. Our impression of the service from TUI was that they were just full of platitudes but never actually achieved anything. So we won't be using them again. Our experiences are obviously not in accord with others. But they genuinely represent what we found. We have been to many many 4* hotels around the world and this place certainly didn't come near the standard of those. We were so pleased to check out from here - we'd been ready to leave for at least a week! -and needless to say we will not be back.…
We're approaching the end of a fantastic family holiday. Blue Sea Island has been a great choice. The hotel is very well kept, incredibly clean and you get a genuine sense of the family feel despite it being a medium size hotel. We enjoyed spending time between the on-site beach, pool and water-park at the adjacent building which is also part of BSI. The staff and very friendly and will do anything they can to help the guests have a great time. We were blessed with 24-26 degree temperatures and no rain at all. Anything need or aren't totally happy with, just ask them. Thanks BSI for a great experience.
Firstly the views are stunning for the location alone it’s worth it. Staff are so accommodating and friendly can’t fault the staff at all. The aegeospas you have to visit and have a deep tissue massage Angela on front desk is so nice. Eva who done the deep tissue massage really knows what’s she’s talking about. I have regular treatments back home but Eva was by fare the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. Just wish I had more days left on holiday to book more visits. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you most places also close by to the resort there are restaurants and an amazing seafood restaurant which overlooks the sea foods amazing and wine if you wish to venture out. This brings me on to the food and drinks at the hotel. The pool side bar in the day time dose the best drinks and he mixes the cocktails great sorry forgot his name. But of an evening different staff so give the cocktails a miss. Food it’s okay lots to choose from but some sections of the food are cold when should be warm but overall lots good selection. Hotel room we have balcony with sea view worth every penny. Would I visit her again yes location is perfect and there are 2 water sports facilities either side of the hotel on the beach 5 min walk. Tip buy some beach shoes and it will save you feet from pain as a lot of areas with pebbles This hotel also has some entertainment which is also good there is a kids club if you have children and lots of staff to accommodate the help with the kids …
Very nice view from the central pool! The beach and the food in this restaurant was good and also the staff was very polite. The location was convenient due to my work and it has a very good balnce of quality and price.
Location ideal for evening walks, near the bus stop and lots of shops in the area. Great advise we got from Maria, the guest relations manager, about sightseeing and island highlights. Staff very kind and helpful. Our favourite was Jani the bartender, we always had a laugh with him and his cocktails were amazing! The hotel was clean with all comforts provided. Highly recommended! Thank you all!
Very friendly, service minded and helpful staff, especially the Lobby host's. The room are very nice and the cleaning staff's niveau is very high Clean pool area and nice beach Kristina Strand Denmark
Just stayed at Blue Sea Island as a group of 10 and have nothing to complain about at all. Rooms were nice and big, food available at all times of the day and options changed all the time in the main buffet restaurant. Never had to run down and save yourself a sun bed which was the main thing for me.
At this lovely hotel the food and hospitality was spot on. There was 10 of us in total and we was all very looked after. The staff were very helpful and made sure we was always ok. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.
