Detailed Reviews
I do not always write reviews as most places I go to are exactly what I expected and never over preform. However, Estudio was way beyond my expectations
Staff
All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful even the grounds and maintenance staff. The Kids Club staff are super friendly and patient with kids and parents. My son loved going into the centre to do the crafts and play with toys. And mind you they have some awesome toys like Dash the Robot! All the restaurant staff are amazing and even stop to entertain our strange requests and teach us a bit of Spanish upon our request! The nightly entertainment for kids is great! Jorge tries his best to keep kids engaged but I think the hotel itself lacks a centre stage to put on elaborate nightly shows like other venues. Edwardo was very friendly and good with my kids. He even got me to get off my chair and have some fun with pool aerobics which I enjoyed.
Food:
Breakfast buffet is amazing! The quesadilla in the morning are great! I would fill up on them. The lady who makes them fresh is a super sweet lady too! Breakfast also has typical breakfast food and lost of fresh fruits, smoothies and sorts.
Lunch was best at the Bikini cafe. Victor is great server and provides good recommendations for experimenting with drinks. We always got guacamole and chips to eat while we waited for our food. You can have food from the restaurant poolside too. Carols was quick and fast at bringing us drinks and food whenever we chose to stay poolside.
Dinner is an issue. This hotel does not have a dinner buffet which I prefer. The place they serve breakfast would make a good dinner place!! The available options are decent. Room service food I thought was a better option and more relaxed as after a hot shower I could relax in bed and eat. The sushi place was good. Im not a fan of sushi but even I like it. The seafood place had good food but the atmosphere was horrible because of the mosquitos and though the staff provided free mosquito repellent it did not work. Luckily I had my OFF brand stuff from home.
Rooms
Great! Clean spacious and enough storage space for clothes. Big soaker tub, walk in shower and separate toilet.
Resort
Clean, big beautiful!! The staff are always going around cleaning and maintaining the property
Checkin
Easy smooth. Valeria was kind and knew her stuff.
All in all this hotel is amazing for a fun, relaxing holiday with the family. There is no rowdiness or foolishness that makes it hard for little kids to enjoy the resort.
I did venture over to the adult side and honestly did not find a big loss of not being there. The staff are equally friendly. I talked to the lady at the Art Show for a while and learned alot!
I would definitely come back next year!

This place was amazing. The food was phenomenal at every restaurant and buffet. There were lots of options and the quality of food was like no other I have eaten at an all-inclusive. I am a vegetarian and was quite pleased with all the options. They even have a vegan menu at every restaurant, even the steakhouse. The the room was really nice and comfortable with a large balcony. We had a junior king suite ocean view room. They stock the fridge and drawers with drinks and food in your room every day at no charge. They provide a lot of extras around the hotel no matter where you are, free of charge. Beach was really nice the sand was like white powder. The water was a beautiful blue green with white sand, so it was easy to walk in and swim or wade. The staff was really polite and they were not aggressive in any way. They were never looking for tips or anything they just went out of their way to make our stay comfortable without it being obnoxious. They have a cafe there that serves all types of coffees and lattes and teas, and the ice cream and sorbet there is phenomenal. If you like to work out there's a fitness facility there that is really good. Across from it is a juice bar where you can get smoothies and fresh pressed juices and snacks. The grounds around the hotel are very well kept and you can go for nice little walks. We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our stay there is nothing that we would give a low rating for. Highly recommended if you get the opportunity. If you're looking to go into Cancun it will cost you probably about $30 for transportation one way. These new resorts in Playa mujeres are a little isolated because they're so new and they're still developimg the area, however our driver told us that in the next 5 to 10 years they'll probably 1be 12 more resorts along with a bunch of amenities like shopping and restaurants and convenience stores.

Our stay at Atelier Playa Mujeres was wonderful!
The rooms were modern and clean equipped with comfy beds! We had a pool side room and enjoyed the view of the pool and the ocean combined. The house keepers did a great job at cleaning the rooms every day and the fridge in the room was always full stocked as well snacks in the drawer!
The WIFI - because everyone loves good wifi - the wifi was great we had wifi in our room, down by the pool, all over the resort. The only place where we ever had any issues with WIFI was at the beach, but if you laid in the cabanas you could get some. Best WIFI I have ever had at resort to date!
The food - the food was good, but the buffet lacked selection, it was very small. The pizza is excellent the you can order through room service!
The resort its self was very clean & welcoming. It is on the smaller side of resorts with only one pool, but you would never know. Being at the pool you never felt crowed and the staff were fairly quick at getting your drinks or pool side snacks!
The pool is excellent with some really comfy pool chairs!
The highlight of our week though was definitely the week long commentary we receive from Edson & Johnny Bravo (or as he called himself lol). We throughly enjoyed seeing them each and every day, they would great us with a friendly Hola, and continue to interact with us throughout the day!
Edson convinced us into doing water zumba with him and we had a blast! I highly recommend it for the laugh alone! We enjoyed our daily visit with Edson as he tried hard to convince us into more actives that were going on throughout the day! While also playing games with us with his poker chits!
Johnny convinced us into Cirque de Soleil and it was an awesome show to see, the performers did a great job! Johnny was also a pleasure every day to see throughout the day he always made an effort to say a friendly hello and keep us up to date on activities that were going on in the evening!
We had such a nice week at the resort and both agree the we would return purely for the commentary and friendly faces of Edson and Johnny.

We just returned from a week at this resort. We stayed on the family side with our 13 year old and we traveled with family who also have a 10 and 12 year old. The room and facilities are very beautiful and overall clean. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to help.
For the price, the food and experience was not what you would expect. It seemed that much of the issues are just due to it being a new resort where they have not fine tuned things yet. On the family side there were few choices for lunch and dinners. There is an Italian, Japanese and a Seafood/Steakhouse. Typically 2 out of the 3 were open for dinner and there did not seem to be a way to predict which would be open on what nights. Also the Japanese restaurant did not take reservations and we ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated and then almost 2 hours to receive our meals. The restaurant was not full and they just seemed completely overwhelmed and disorganized. We had to ask repeatedly for menus and water. In addition, one of us ended up going to another bar to get everyone drinks after waiting for 30 minutes with no sign of a waiter or waitress.
We found that generally food was pretty slow to be served (we waited about an hour to be served at the italian restaurant one night for dinner) which is hard when you have tired and hungry children. In each restaurant the steak and beef dishes were fantastic. In the italian restaurant the dinner portion sizes are very small (3 average size tortellini for an entree), but you can order more than one dish if you are willing to wait. In general it seemed like they could solve some of the issues by just taking reservations. There was also no mexican restaurant on the family side which was disappointing although the mexican dishes at the breakfast buffet were fantastic. By far, breakfast was consistently the best meal each day. They even had a woman making tortillas from scratch and amazing tacos.
They did not consistently have a lunch or dinner buffet although there were a couple of nights where they offered this. Lastly, there were some activities for the kids although nothing that really resonated for teens. The activities were geared toward young children.
The rooms were generally clean although ours had a musty smell. Also housekeeping consistently failed to leave replacement shampoo, conditioner and body wash so we had to keep calling the desk to ask for it each day. I also had to ask for clean coffee cups for the in room espresso machine as housekeeping just put dirty cups back on the saucer and left them.
I think with time and feedback this resort will be very nice. Despite all of the little things, we had a great time and the staff really were friendly and fun.

This resort is beautiful! Although it’s pricey everything is included which makes it totally worth it. The restaurant La Consentida is a buffet style American/Mexican/international restaurant. The captain Jesus Hurtado was awesome!! The food was delicious! Anibar was our server the first time we went and he was so attentive and helpful and quick! We went back and had mauricio as our served which was also great!
My FAVORITE restaurant was El Suspiro - they have it on both sides of the resort but the ESTUDIO side has Guadalupe and she is the BEST. The Atelier side of El Suspiro were not as welcoming and did not accommodate to our needs. Also the room service was getting very stingy with bringing us food or drinks. They would take forever or simply not bring it at all. We tried to explain to them we were there with 50+ people part of a wedding party. And there are about 10 people currently in our room and we wanted enough drinks for everyone and they kept transferring our calls and finally the manager said they would bring it and they’re doing us a favor and they never brought it.....
But it’s fine we went to the sushi place Kopai and the servers there were amazing as well!! I told them to bring what they recommend and was not let down at all!!!
The pools are great... no “hot tubs”. And they are constantly cleaning, pruning plants, planting plants, and making sure everything looks perfect. Please remember to tip these guys they are working so hard to make sure you don’t even see a dead leaf on the floor. Phenomenal work.
I would definitely go back.

My partner and I booked this resort last April for over New Years (Dec 28 - Jan 4). When we arrived, we found out that we were bumped from the adult's section (Atelier) to the family section (Estudio). The reason given was "overbooking". I was furious since we purposefully booked an adults only hotel. The only compensation they offered us was 2 nights free on our next visit. The issue with this is that when you book nightly (without a package, the room is upwards of $400/night). Thus, this was not compensation. I wanted the room we booked in April. Luckily, our travel representative was able to get us a room on the adult side after our second night. Many thanks to David at Atelier for organizing this. I was extremely unhappy with the lack of responsibility taken by the front desk at Estudio. No effort was put in to find us a room on the Atelier side. Our room with Atelier was a swim out facing the golf course. Be warned that this side of the hotel does not see the sun. As a result, the water is chilly and it isn't very alluring.
Aside from this initial hiccup (which was significant to my partner and I), we were both very impressed with the rest of staff at Atelier. The pool staff specifically Oscar and Marco were amazingly attentive. Jorge the pool bar man was fantastic! We loved the snack food at El Trompo (thank you to Jose and Nestor for their amazing service) and the Italian at Cala Di Luna (Estudio) was worth going back to the family side.
One additional issue we had was that after January 1st, one did not have to make a reservation for the à la carte restaurants so we incurred a 1hr wait for a table at the popular restaurant, Takeshi. There were not enough restaurants to accommodate the guests unless you went for dinner very early or late. Room service was an option and when we tried to order using the app, the food never came. The buffet was not open in the evenings so the à la cartes were a must. There was a lot of confusion over which restaurants would be open which nights. These issues must be resolved to complete with neighbouring 5 star resorts.
The pluses are definitely the bracelets that also unlock your door (no fussing with key cards) and no need to trade towel cards in for towels.
One thing to note but wasn't problematic for us is that the beach is shared between Estudio and Atelier so there are kids on the beach playing from time to time.
All tolled, we enjoyed our time (after the initial blunder was reconciled) and hope the resort improves so we can plan our next holiday.

Good: The property is beautiful and worthy of a 5-star rating.
Bad: 1. Service leaves a lot to be desired. 2. Contacting them is all but impossible.
We were excited to be going to Atelier for a wedding since this was a new resort that looked beautiful and had good reviews. The rooms were very expensive, even with our group rate, so we incorrectly assumed that this would live up to its "luxury" status.
Problem 1 - Our flights got cancelled on 2/27/20 (no fault of the hotel) so we were going to be arriving on 2/28/20 rather than 2/27/20. We called the hotel 4 times before we were finally able to speak to someone. Although she was not able to address our issue (late arrival), she did take a message for us and said she would pass it along to the reservations department. She also suggested that we send the reservations department an email to let them know about our late arrival. We also took the extra step of having a relative who had already arrived at the hotel, go to the front desk and let them know about our late arrival. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at the security checkpoint on 2/28/20 and they informed us that we were not registered at the hotel. I told the guard to check the previous day's list and sure enough our name was listed. It was no surprise then when we got to the front desk and were advised that our reservation had been cancelled. This in spite of the fact that we contacted them 3 separate ways (as mentioned previously). Fortunately, they did have a room available for us although they still made us pay for the first night even with us giving them over 24 hours notice. Although we could find it no where on their website, they told us that we needed to provide 30 days notice for any changes or cancellations. As of 3/11/20, no one from Atelier ever replied to our phone calls or email message.
Problem 2 - The service leaves a lot to be desired. Although there was wait staff circulating around the pool and beach areas, you had to make sure that you got their attention if you needed something because it could be awhile before they returned to that area. In a page out of Ripley's Believe It or Not; it took 1.5 hours to get lunch at the pool side restaurant with our meal coming in stages (french fries, then main item, then other side dish). We spoke to people sitting a few tables away from us and they too waited over 1.5 hours to get lunch. Absolutely ridiculous!
My recommendation is to find another resort that can provide good to great service so that you get value for your vacation dollar.

+1
My family and i chose this resort for its quieter location, it being all inclusive, and having the swim up suites :)
The location was important to us... mainly to stay away from the busier cancun hotel zone during Covid (not knowing what to expect) and upon arriving we were blown away by the clean reception. Also to note, during the drive you arrive in the playa mujeres resort corridor/area, the road which leads to all the multiple large resorts in playa mujeres has a security gate in place before even getting to the resorts. Which we loved having had extra comfort in place. Then of course the gate when you get to the resort as well. Anyways, Estudio welcomed us quickly, sanitized our luggage, hands, and shoes, and we received a welcome drink during check in, which was amazingly quick and easy! They took our bags to the room after sanitizing as well.
The weather was poor which is not the resorts fault, and also the resort felt very empty, which had its pros and cons. Very windy, and rainy at times.
Just feel good to note.
Food was amazing! Some of the best food ever! We tried all the restaurants on the estudio side and loved breakfast at the Consentida buffet, and dinner at the Japanese place. The staff remembered who we were, and really went above and beyond in how they treated us.
Rooms were beautiful, but i did notice some small things after our first day such as our swim out room area outside had a broken light, and one in our room that had issues as well, and some water damage in the corner of our ceiling. But the lights under the beds were great. The phone was too fancy for me to figure out and my tech savvy husband had to use his magic touch. Room service was great.
The pools were chilly, would be nice to have a jacuzzi at the resort. Beach was nice, but the wind and rain hampered us visiting it more. The walk to the beach was easy and we enjoyed it actually, their music that plays we so nice and relaxing we loved it.
Gym area was great, but closed for estudio at 6pm :( The spa was amazing! I enjoyed a 60 min massage while there, just found it a bit hard to actually schedule until a wonderful lady signed me up and took great care of me.
The only reason for a 4 star review rather than 5, was we were offered a tour of the Atelier side which turned into a 2 hour membership presentation on one of the only nice days we had. The tour was nice, but brief, and the offer was not bad, but being told that we basically had to make a decision there and then really turned me off. This is also after letting them know i was ready to go twice. I never make a large purchase without research. My default is to always ask for time to think about anything.
I do suggest getting transportation arranged prior to coming, as we used the taxi at the resort for the return and found it to be cleaner than what we had from the airport through other means (not the resor's)

We had already paid the additional amounts for each person for their all inclusive. They still tried to milk more money, and we ordered things multiple times that never showed up, even when they were the ones offering to get you a drink. We had way better customer service in Tulum in authentic Mexico. At Atlier, they don’t care about you at all here. And after all this, on check out day, they started knocking at the door waking us up at 7:30 wanting to clean the room, instead of checking with the front desk to only clean the rooms that had already confirmed check out. We told them we would not be checking out until checkout time. Over the last four hours there, eating breakfast and packing, we were called TWICE by phone, and approached at breakfast TWO different times asking when we were leaving. One of the most egregious experiences ever, ....like they could not wait to get rid of us. I guess our $600 a night doesn’t earn any respect. Finally, at checkout, we were harassed again as if we did not pay the correct additional amounts for all inclusiveness. As if we would have gotten our arm band any other way? These people were ridiculous. We will NEVER stay or recommend this place ever again.

My husband and I came here for our Honeymoon. We had high expectations but had no idea just how impressive this place and the experience would be. It blew us away! First let me say that we travelled during COVID and were impressed by the safety precautions taken at this property. Our luggage was sprayed, we walked through disinectant with our shoes and literally every employee wore thier mask properly (nose AND mouth) without exception. Not one person ever broke protocol. The entire property was spotless! It was very impressive. We stayed in a swim up room and cannot imagine anything but that for our future stays. The room was gorgeous with a bathtub big enough for both of us while still being able to see outside of the room and enjoy the weather. The bed was like a giant fluffy cloud! There is honestly too much good stuff to even write here, it would take forever. We attended events at the disco and had a wonderful time, we ate at all the restaurants and agreed that we would have paid big bucks for the food and service we received, it was top notch. We enjoyed the daybed by the beach where someone came and cleaned our sunglasses for no good reason and brought us drinks and snacks and basically treated us like royalty. One morning we had room service and it was like a romantic meal had been set up in our room for us. We enjoyed a couples massage, the best we have ever had, and followed that with a cappuccino from the smoothie bar right outside the spa. We heard another guest order a unique coffee in the coffee shop upstairs so we copied her and it was an amazing treat. I could honestly go on and on. I have not one negative thing to say and cannot even think of how it could be improved. It was perfection and we can't wait to return.

Yes!
Almost every restaurant had a vegan menu. The vegan menus had 3 or 4 appetizers and 3 or 4 entrees. This was one of the easiest places to be vegan!
Yes they have a membership. No, they do not harass you.
My friend is a member. They didn't even ask me if I wanted to attend a presentation. I didn't see anyone asking anyone if they wanted a presentation. I think they don't do a hard sell and just let their great service speak for itself.
The pools in the suites were heated, and had jets in them. The Infinity pool in the common area was not.
I would plan on tipping, as the staff does a great job and definitely earn it!
