This resort was the perfect spot for an anniversary trip! The general ambience of the hotel is very laid back. Every employee we encountered was extremely pleasant and welcoming. The hotel room was very clean and had a beautiful ocean view
Once again, Mitch Toren and Laurie Orr of Trip Guy arranged an incredible vacation experience for me and my group. Because of them, every detail of our trip ran smoothly, so getting to and from the resort was effortless for us. Thank you again. I just got home yesterday from my trip to Beloved with a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. This was the first time any of us had been to Beloved, but we all had been to other Excellence resorts before. We had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, intimate but not too small as to be suffocating. The atmosphere is serene, so you can choose a quiet spot or opt a more lively spot like the pool bar. Everyone is extremely friendly, and the service is personal to the point that the servers and staff anticipate your needs and rush to fulfill them. The food was very good; we especially liked our meals at El; Mar, Las Islas, and Lupita Steakhouse. The staff at each of these restaurants readily accommodated our large group, and the service was very professional, friendly, and personal. Speaking of the staff, there are a few members that I would like to personally thank on behalf of our entire group for their tireless efforts to make our stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. A very sincere thank you to: Michel, bartender at the pool, Alex and Antonio, servers at the beach, Ramon at Lupita, and Oscar at El Mar. These people went over and above what you would expect to ensure our comfort and to provide us with fantastic memories of our vacation. I hope the management know what incredible gems they have working for them.…
Beloved was great! I really enjoyed the intimate feel of the resort as it is rather small. Everything is kept in great shape and it was gorgeous. The beach was very clean and the water was stunning. Service was fantastic throughout. Lupita Lounge and Le Bisu were delicious. Don't let me forget about the taco truck! Hope to return to Beloved one day.
My partner and I were in dire need of a vacation and given all the ups and downs of the pandemic, we decided to try an all-inclusive. I was a bit apprehensive about the idea, but immediately changed my mind upon arriving at Beloved. We stayed in the Junior suite, which was the size of a Toronto condo, with a beautiful terrace. The resort itself is immaculately kept, small enough to easily navigate, very queer-friendly and eco-certified. The food was all incredible, but stand out culinary experiences for us were breakfasts at Le Bisou (which was often accompanied by live piano), lunches at the Bocadito Taco truck or (often and) daily beach specials and dinners at Lupida. They also have an adorable coffee shop with delicious pastries and barista quality beverages. As many other reviews mention, the staff at this resort are what made our stay special. Everyone got to know us and went out of their way to make our trip memorable. From Christian, who welcomed us, to Donaldo and Carlos at the Taco Truck to Cristina in the coffee shop, who made the most incredible frappuccinos, to Francisco, Alex, Gibran and Jorge at the beach. Brenda at Le Bisou remembered all the little nuances about our breakfast order. All the individuals working at this resort give 110% every day. As someone who never thought they'd enjoy an all-inclusive, due to fears of subpar food, beach chair battles and boredom, I highly recommend Beloved and would definitely go back.…
My husband and I had a most incredible stay at Beloved Playas Mujeres. This was our first stay at Beloved, but have stayed at other Excellence properties, and as has been with the others, Beloved did not disappoint. When you stay at Excellence and Beloved, you are going to get service like no other. We would like to thank all the amazing people who made our trip absolutely amazing and forever memorable: Ernesto at La Isla Ingrid and Elva at reception Angel at Bell Desk Jibran at Lupita Jose, Chef Ricardo, and Misael at El Mar Manolo at Bisou Rodrigo at the Sports Bar Enrique and Antonio at the beach Alberto and Elvis at Lupita Lounge Michel at Lobby Lounge Donaldo and Bryan at Bocadito Angel at Lupita Steakhouse Paola at Lupita Steakhouse and La Isla Laura and Suemy at the Spa I know there were many others I did not list here, and wish I could remember everyone’s names. But thank and appreciate you all!…
We recently visited Beloved for our honeymoon. It was a wonderful trip from beginning to end. We especially loved the size and coziness of the resort. We walked from the lobby to our room and got a little tour from the bellman along the way. We found all of the restaurants to be spectacular. Best food and quality of drinks we've had at an all inclusive. We found ourselves at the Steakhouse multiple times and always had a warm welcome from Paola. Juan at the Lobby Bar made us delicious drinks every night. We tried several from the drinks menu and they were all great. No reservations are needed for the restaurants which was a huge plus for us. There was different entertainment each night. All was very enjoyable. As others mention, this is not a super late night resort, but there is plenty to do. We stayed in a casita suite (Cariñosa 1) with a private pool. We loved that we had a private outdoor space and the servers even brought us drinks to our pool! The room was spacious and open and the beds were comfy. The beach is lovely - and nice lounge chairs. Overall I do not have a single complaint about this hotel. We cannot wait to come back!…
Booked this property for our honeymoon, cannot recommend it enough. It was our first time but many of the other guests had visited well over five times. Food was excellent and there were plenty of options, lots of beach and pool drinks as well. More than anything, the staff is excellent — a special shoutout to Ernesto, Paola, Louise, and Christian — they made our stay a ten out of ten.
Spent ten days at the beautiful Beloved hotel. The weather was warm and sunny each and every day. This was our first time back at the hotel since the start of the pandemic, and we wondered if anything had changed. There were many new employees, but it was nice to see Juan again at the lobby bar as well as a few others in other parts of the hotel. For the time being, there is no buffet breakfast (can't wait for it to return) but à la carte breakfast is now served in three restaurants, all very good. They have replaced the house sparkling wine with a much better one and have added Mexican craft beers at the Lupita Lounge, a welcome addition. The food at all the restaurants had improved except for Le Bisou which used to be our favourite (foie gras was now a terrine instead of block, lamb chops were tough, shrimp and seafood ravioli was almost inedible; at least the crème brûlée was still delicious). Caffetto and the food truck are better than ever. The team at the beach (concierges and servers) are great. Our room and all the property facilities were sparkling clean, and the wifi worked perfectly everywhere, even on the beach. All the menus are now on line so you will need your phone at the restaurants. We are part of the Excellence rewards program and qualified for the diamond tier. The benefits made us feel even more pampered. We enjoyed a flower arrangement and a bottle of fine wine and cheese platter in our suite. A bottle of French Champagne and a 40-minute couples massage were also part of the benefits we received. A double-category suite upgrade was included (if available) but this benefit was not offered because the hotel was full. A word of caution: The desinfectant carpet in front of the hotel can be hazardous because it makes footwear very slippery on the marble floors and steps. Be very careful after you step on it, especially on the way out. A final word: If you need a good rest, you will sleep like a baby at the Beloved. It's probably a combination of the sun and heat, the swimming, the relaxation and the excellent bed and pillows. We left truly refreshed! Looking forward to returning in July for another lovely holiday.…
Husband and I came for our first international trip since the pandemic. We chose the resort for it's couples only designation, lack of clubs & party life, but while still having some fun beach activities. It was so nice and everything we needed. We had a junior suite with whirlpool and it was huge and loved the full bar. The restaurants were amazing and we did not have a single meal we disliked - but El Mar & La Isla were our favorites for all of the incredible seafood options! Smallish but very nice gym. We never had to search for a spot on the beach or pool, always plenty open even though they were near capacity when we went. The layout and small size makes it never appear busy. We are avid bicyclists, so the only thing we were bummed about was the site said bike rentals available, but you can only use an e-bike with a guide on a short 4 mile tour of the resort zone. Our guide was sweet though and it was still nice! We would def return if we're back in this area!…
Cristina at the Cafetto was incredible - very kind and so talented. Francisco at Beach Concierge was fun and very helpful. Alex the beach server was fast and attentive. Jorge and Gibran for entertainment we’re both so kind, helpful and fun. The female server at Bisou (served us every morning) was wonderful - fast, attentive, funny and so sweet. Donaldo and Carlos at the Taco truck were great, our favourite lunches every day.
