Christine and Jim are the perfect hosts : they cook very well, the house is very nice, they always give good advice about walks in the isle of Skye. We really appreciated to chatter with us after dinner. Rowan cottage is the best place for discovering the Cuillins Hills.

Jim and Christine were wonderful hosts, and cook a great breakfast in the morning. The room was comfortable, and the location was peaceful. The cottage is a bit off the beaten path, but the views are worth every moment! This is also a great location to do some hiking from.

I have travelled a lot in my life and I could say that the Rowan cottage is the best place I have ever seen: superb position, very quiet, clean and comfortable. Jim and Christine were wonderful hosts, and made our stay very enjoyable. The accommodation is quite basic and we shared a bathroom between the two upstairs rooms, but this is reflected in the price. The surrounding area is lovely and it was good to explore this part of Skye. Well worth the money. On the first night, I had the...

4 of us took the 2 upstairs rooms, which are small but perfectly adequate. Christine and Jim were excellent hosts, making us feel very comfortable. They are definitely people people - very friendly, but very much not overbearing. I had the best sleep I've had in years, it is in such a quiet location. Just 5 minutes outside of the...

Jim and Christie are so welcoming and friendly, plus they serve a wonderful breakfast including the best oatmeal I've ever had. Lovely location even though it is out of the way. It was easy access for us to go on a boat tour of the Isle of Rum and Canna.

Wonderful coastal views in a fantastic remote location. The nearest small village Elgol is where you can take boat trips into the heart of the Cullins. No trip to Sky is complete without doing this. We had a great couple of days at the guest house where we were made to feel very comfortable. We had dinner as well as...

It was small but definitely sufficient! They prepared us two different breakfast for each...

I really did enjoy my stay here. All rooms are very clean and have a goid view of the outside spectacular scenery. I would strongly recommend this small but warmhearted B&B. Chirstie and Jim are one of the most incredible B&B hosts! They are both friendly and welcoming. If I have a chance to go to Isle of Skye, I...
