This is heaven. With angels and all stuff. First stay was with family, which they enjoyed a lot. After our brief stay, we quickly moved schedules and turned back for a second stay this time as couple, the second time the hotel prepared a sweet greet for our celebration, we managed for a superior room and the hotel arranged for a fantastic sea view. Bioluminiscence tour was very interesting. Food was always great. Staff went way and beyond the extra effort to make us feel welcome. As for the place, you really have to go and see for yourself. It's magical. Special mention goes to the fantastic Ariel, Maite, Camilo, Saraff (who makes great tres leches cake) and Arturo. Never ever change. You make paradise, heavenly. Looking forward to be back.
We stayed 2 nights in the master sunset suite at the top of the island. Views are breathtaking! And the room itself is nicely decorated and quite spacious. It was wonderful to sleep listening to the animals in the jungle. We had the feeling we were camping but in a 4 stars tent! We did not get any bugs or mosquitos in the room which was a nice surprise. We expected some! We had a wonderful time. The only thing I reported when we checked out is that when we came back from an excursion there were a few workers on “our” deck working in the jungle. We called the reception to ask them to leave sbd come back when we were not there. Which they did. Overall highly recommended place.
I could have stayed and stayed and stayed. My partner and I splurged on the Master Sunset Suite. The pictures on the website don't even do it justice (though there is no longer a TV in the room, which was completely fine with us!) Even without our mountaintop 360-degree view hideaway, the rest of the property is beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. If you're looking for AC, TVs in the rooms, and a full calendar of resort activities, this is not your place, but if you want howler monkeys in the trees around you, tons of butterflies and birds, and a rustic, yet still modern and sophisticated place to unwind, this is the place to be!
Isla Chiquita was a perfect spot for our family to explore, relax and eat delicious food. Such a great spot, uncrowded and simply amazing. The decked out tents are luxurious- with excellent facilities. Exceeded my expectations!
Wow! This place has been our favorite in Costa Rica! The rooms are fabulous! I mean, they’re tents but they’re tents that fit a king size bed, a sitting area, a double vanity full bathroom and a wonderful porch to take in the beach, the jungle, the howler monkeys, the iguanas and amazing sunrises and sunsets. We had more space than any other hotel so far. We were in #18 all the way at the top and felt spoiled by the seclusion and the awesome views from atop the island. The food is really good!! The restaurant on site has lots of options. One thing to note, other restaurants are not easily accessible. We had all our meals here and none of them disappointed! Be prepared to pay around $15 per meal and cocktails are about $8-$12 each. This didn’t bother us at all. We enjoyed the great service from the staff. They have really good wine selections. We had a little howler monkey family that were right outside our room, so close we could almost reach out and touch them (though that would be a bad idea so we didn’t.) There were three little baby monkeys that were just adorable to watch. We wanted to go traditional Costa Rican fishing so the staff made arrangements for the two of us to go fishing on a little boat on Monday afternoon. Jason, the manager, and Eric our boat captain were so wonderful. So fun!! My husband caught a triggerfish that they made up into ceviche for us for dinner that night. It was really an amazing experience. We relaxed on the beach and had an amazing time! Irvin, Manuel, Matte, and the team were really great! We loved this experience and hope to come back again in a few years. Thanks for a great stay!…
