A the end of December 2019, we stayed 5 nights at The Racha in a Grand Deluxe Villa. Our villa was beautiful, clean, and everything you would expect from a luxury island resort. Our room came with complimentary robes, slippers, and eucalyptus scented bug spray, which worked really well. Our bathroom had an inside rain shower, tub, and a private outdoor shower. The outdoor shower was so nice that we always used that instead of the inside shower. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day by the attentive staff.

The beach is absolutely gorgeous, white sand and clear waters. Racha Island is a public beach so a ton of tourists came to the island during the day but would mostly be gone by early evening. Also since the resort is located next to the water, there is a section you can lay out on for just hotel guests. The area has hammocks that get taken very quickly.

The complimentary breakfast consists of a large assortment of various food (pastries, traditional Thai dishes, traditional American breakfast items, juices, etc.)

The only small feedback we had was that service to get food seemed to be slow in all the restaurants (even when it's not busy) and for room service. But the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

This resort is for couples, families and people who want a relaxing trip. I definitely don't recommend this place for party-goers or anyone who is on a tight budget.

All tours, rentals, and boat transfers need to be booked through the hotel, which quickly adds up. But all services provided by the resort are top notch.

There's a small gym with complimentary classes, and steam/sauna rooms. The spa services are great.

We highly recommend this resort!

The Racha is an excellent place for relax. The hotel take very good care of the beach event though it is a public beach with lots of one day trip tourists. As a result, the sea water is clean, clear and we can swim with the fish which is amazing. The staff are all very nice and good service mind.

This hotel did not disappoint! So glad we booked here! Our beachfront room with private pool was amazing! Thanks to Khun sunny of reservations dept. for helping us with our booking! Since we were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday the next day, they gave us a bottle of red wine and vanilla cake - such a nice and sweet gesture from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, we had it with sparkling wine and orange juice!. The water soo clear you could see the fish without snorkeling, the sand powdery white reminds me of boracay (my fave island in my country) and Giraavaru island in the maldives (where we spent our anniversary last year). Staff very friendly, we met the GM khun Devan and Marlo Training Manager, they gave us tips on how to reach the other beaches in the islands. Everything is perfect so dont hesitate to book at The Racha! One thing we want to share is better to eat in any of the hotel restaurants. We regret having dinner one night at the cliff - the food is too spicy even for us who lives in phuket. Thank you to all staff of The Racha for making our trip a memorable one!

The location is perfect: lovely beach, landscaped village and nice staff.

However, the management should not sit on its laurels and pursue improvements in every area, starting with the virtual monopoly of restaurants which brings appaling service in the more basic two and high prices in the classy one. Staff should also wake up to the fact that they MUST speak better English.

Kids should be given activities to do that take them away from people who just want to relax.

Beach is public, but no one days staff cannot help cleaning it every morning.

Investments are needed in technology: wifi worked poorly and A/C is old and so noisy!

I really do love this hotel, it is in an absolutely stunning location, complete paradise and the staff make it extra special (the most kindest and friendliest group who go above and beyond to make you feel at home).
The villa is perfect, mood lighting, outdoor shower, clean and you know you are getting 5* treatment. The lovely touch is that you get to pick your smell when you check in and that smell becomes the air freshener and body wash in your shower. From the moment you check in at Chalong pier, the private boat ride to Ko Racha and when you arrive at the hotel, you’re treated like a king and love every second of it.

However, I gave 5* for the hotel, but the actual beach where the Racha sits, I would be tempted to give it a 3*. The beach itself is absolutely stunning, soft white sands and the clearest of water, but between 11am and 4pm it is ruined by tourists. Boat after boat turns up, people pile onto the beach and into the water and it really does spoil it. After 4pm is the best time to be there as all the boats have gone and you get some of the best pictures. This really needs to be addressed by the Thai government or they run the risk of another maya bay closure.

My partner and I just returned from a fantastic six-night stay at this stunning property. From arrival at the HKT airport to return to the HKT airport everything was handled with care and professionalism. The resort’s location away from the hustle of Phuket mainland was just what we needed to relax and feel safe from Covid. We traveled from Atlanta and spent nearly 30 hours in transit to get to the resort and can honestly say it was worth all the effort to get there. The resort itself is stunning in the beautiful bay it is located, with calm, crystal clear blue waters. We had booked a Grand Deluxe Ocean View Pool Villa and were assigned Villa #203 which we could not have been happier with. The villa was well appointed, extremely clean with a stunning view of the beach and bay from the patio area in front of the room, the bed, the private pool area.

The staff at the resort all went out of there way to see that we were well taken care of and looked after. A special thanks to Nong at the restaurant who seemed to make an extra effort every time we saw her. The other servers, Mod, Orgust, Coco, Tim and others were all friendly, professional and hard working in the restaurant. Jasper at the Front Desk also was extremely helpful. Several times throughout the stay, the General Manager, Devan Bhaskaran, took time out of his day to stop and chat with us to ensure our stay was going well. We greatly appreciated his attention to us and enjoyed chatting with him. He has assembled a well-trained and friendly staff at the property, and it showed in the service that is provided to us as guests.

We have traveled extensively throughout the world and can honestly say, our stay at The Racha was a standout, more than worth the time involved to travel to the other side of the world for a week’s stay.

Covid protocols in place at the property made us feel safe as everyone was required to wear masks while indoor. The additional Thai government requirements of Covid test on arrival and vaccination, though a hassle, made us feel secure that we should not be exposed to anyone with Covid. We would have liked to enjoy the other restaurants, during our stay, though only the main restaurant was open, which was understandable because of Covid. Food quality was good, and we enjoyed the Thai food presented at each of our meals. The champagne at breakfast was a nice touch.

Only minor inconvenience during our stay was the spotty and relatively slow internet speed of the Wi-Fi.

We would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful natural setting.

Being spoilt living in Thailand, the question is often ‘why’ , when we look for places to go. After going to the Racha, that’s now ‘why not’, that’s how good it is.
The hotel deserves is reputation for great service and the staff really try hard. What struck me, was despite the crisis and the obvious stress that would be there for any one working in the hotel sector during Covid, they were 100% on the ball. The GM was there and very visible, as was the head of F&B.
The location is superb and this is some of the clearest water I have seen in Thailand and the snorkeling was very good. If you wanted to learn to dive, this would be a great place to do it.
The rooms are well appointed and well designed as one would reasonably expect from a hotel like this.

This is our third time staying and it was delightful as ever. Very relaxing, has an adults only pool that is quiet and overlooks the bay as well as a family pool. All staff are very friendly and special mention for manager Devan who really looked after us . Are in all 3 restaurants and all represent good value for money. Included breakfast is very good value and now there are complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking you can be as active as you want every day

Will be back !

We felt well kept and there was always someone around listening. Crew was fantastic in providing us a familiar "living room feeling", even the general manager was around talking to guest giving any advise, Dinner proved also being a highlight at reasonable prices.
Highly recommended if you want to catch a little piece of paradise in a quiet and professional surrounding.

We spent 6 nights at this beautiful island in The Racha resort. We had a really nice time there. We enjoyed yoga class with Sonja- girl from Germany. She is fantastic teacher. we had yoga Class on the beach at the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is tasty, especially crabs, tiger prawns and thai food. The view from the pool is amazing. If you are not satisfate with anything, you just ask staff and they will help you. We will come back for sure. Prices are not more exspensive as in the another resorts. Especially mini bar in the room. You have good wine also gin whisky, cognac for a acceptibility price.

I don’t recall the exact amount for the menu, except that our bill for food and drink for 7 people for 5 days was way less than we were expecting, bearing in mind we had cocktails and bottles of wine every day at dinner. The view from the outdoor lounge, on the seashore is absolutely spectacular at sunset. It’s worth a trip just for that alone. Stunning.

The Racha have their own transfer boat. It runs daily I believe and leaves Phuket at 13:00 from the Pier. They also have their own departure lounge there. Suspect they will contact you nearer the time as it is still quite a long time before you go to make arrangements
