After a hard day beating on nearby Wolverton estate 5 of us visited for dinner - good desision ! A good selection on the menu and also board specials, so there should be something for everyone. Excellent service, especially as we were a bit slow choosing ( talking too much ) The portions were just right and the quality of...

Very welcoming hosts do not normally start food until 18.30 but my granddaughter who is only 5 usually eats earlier & they cooked her dinner early. Nothing was too much trouble. It is lovely when u get this attention. The rooms were very clean & spacious with large beds. This morning we had a superb full English breakfast. I would...

We booked a room here for two nights for wedding on the Saturday. At first we were told that we could not check in before the pub opened at 17.30, which seemed a bit restrictive. I was then told that the key would be left in the room so that we could arrive earlier. Unfortunately, whilst the key HAD been...

Very warm welcome, beautiful setting and spacious well equipped rooms, which included a wet room bathroom and good internet connection. Excellent breakfast to set us on our way, although possibly a little early for some. Glad to say we are going back again soon!

We have used the George and Dragon on many occasions; as a pub and for B&B and have always been impressed whether it's for lunch, dinner or breakfast. The service and quality of food is always of the highest standard. We are booked in for our next B&B and know we will be looked after. The typical price is £85...

We have often visited The George and Dragon as a couple, and with family, but last night was the first time we had gone with a group of friends. The atmosphere is good, and the service friendly. I had the most enormous lamb shank (though I think the menu said shoulder) with new potatoes and veg which was delicious. The...

Have known the place for thirty odd years. Not regulars but always given a friendly welcome. We always look forward to Paula's menu and enjoy Lionel's beers. Everyone we take there enjoys it. On this occasion it was a group of six. An average meal price is @ £15.

We've been here several times but this time service was appalling and we were not made to feel welcome at all "even though local" we were told to move from the table that stayed unoccupied whilst we were there and we will not recommend this place to anyone ever

Lovely period pub with great open fires, but although quite a few beers on, none to my liking (my problem rather than theirs). The food was disappointing. We had the fish which was dry and chewy as if it had been cooked earlier waiting for a customer. The speed with which it was dispensed confirmed this. We were with a...

Long overdue, but amazing steak, chips and alcohol selection! Had a great Christmas lunch here with colleagues in December 2014. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back in the foreseeable future.
