The service is great. Location is good as my unit faces the golf course. Size of the two bedroom unit is comfortable for a family of 6 people. The unit is clean and fully equipped. The staff are very friendly especially to Miss Ammic and Mr Max at the front staff.
My wife and myself are nearing the end of a most enjoyable return stay at the Laguna Holiday Club which - with the last two years (when we stayed across the road at the Angsana Laguna Resort - see previous Reviews) we have been visiting every year since it opened its door in 2006. Our last visit was in March 2020 (see previous Review) when plans were in place for a major Refurbishment Programme but - as with many things - the COVID Pandemic put paid to these. It was a bit disconcerting, therefore, on arrival to find problems with the hot water supply and to experience a Power Cut. Fortunately, the former was remedied with the installation of a new pump and the latter - which affected the whole area - proved a one-off! That aside, we much enjoyed being back in one of our favourite rooms (#7304) - not only spacious but well-equipped (extremely comfortable and large bed) but with lovely view of the golf course. Also, very quiet - we were certainly not kep awake by our neighbours. Not surprisingly, all the former familiar staff faces had gone and we were still made to feel most welcome - particularly by Khun Nui & Khun Apple in the Angsana Vacation Club Office and Darren & his colleagues in the Seedlings Restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent buffet-style Breakfast every morning overlooking the swimming pool. Housekeeping was also extremely good. All in all, a most enjoyable stay - so much so that we look forward to returning again in October when, hopefully, some of the refurbishment work will have taken place!!…
Terrible terrible service. We drove a car to the hotel and no one came to tell us where to park and nobody came to pick up our luggage. No signs and not even one people came to greet us. We came at 4:30 pm and they told us that we still have to wait for another 30 minutes to have a clean room, which is not acceptable since the hotel seemed pretty vacant.
This was not my first visit to Holiday club. I’ve stayed in a few different apartments. This one was a two bedroom, two bathroom on the second floor with a view over the golf course. It had a balcony. The housekeeping was excellent. It would have been good to have a cloth and a tea towel in the kitchen as there’s no dishwasher. Furniture is a little tired but very clean. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the beach and shuttle buses are on demand to go to other spots in Laguna. It’s a walk to most places. Breakfast is available on site for a charge. We asked for a bucket of ice for our room and they wanted to charge us 1000 baht ! Reception weren’t over friendly but we generally were understood. Kids club is on site and plenty of seating round the pool.
The worst hotel stay experience I have ever had. Dirty, smelly, old rooms, no hot water, useless, ignoring staff. Got a food poison after their very poor breakfast. ❌❌❌ Definitely DONT RECOMMEND to anyone.
Everything about our stay was fine! We enjoyed the breakfast for about $8US, the 1 bedroom unit was huge, the AC was too cold at first, a welcome change from Vietnam. The pool had 6 squirting elephants and a fun slide. The front desk arranged a local restaurant to come pick us up for dinner. Ours was a short stay but we enjoyed every minute.
It’s been three years, due to covid restrictions on travel to and from Australia. Not a lot has changed, and that’s good, why would you change something that is good. The LHC has been open a month and has a new crop of seedlings (staff). All very helpful and eager to please. Some of the staff that were there previously have moved on but it was good to see Twang, ( not sure of spelling ). Her expertise at reception is great. A few things have changed, no lunchtime and dinner service, although I believe it may start soon. Poolside staff not there, get your towels from the bar. Ohm and Yai were good. Great to be back.
We were not staying here this trip and popped in to see how everything was looking after the recent reopening. It was so lovely to see and chat with Cha and Nui, who we have not seen for years. The refurbished pool looks great! We are planning our next trip soon!
My wife and myself are back in Phuket on our annual visit - a pattern we have followed since first visiting Phuket in 2004 - and, on this occasion, we’re staying at the Angsana Laguna Phuket property which is literally a 5 minute walk from the Laguna Holiday Club (LHC). One reason being that the LHC only reopened its doors on 1 November. The swimming pool area has certainly been spruced up and - on the F & B front - only a Breakfast service is currently being provided. In view of the COVID Pandemic, I suspect that very little of the extensive Refurbishment Programme that was in place at the time of our last visit in March 2020 (see Review) has been carried out. If so, very much hope this will be reinstated before too much longer!
The sand swimming pool will be a good and safe pool for children to enjoy. The 300 metre long canal like are connected with 3 other pools and great for distance swimming. Some of the room's balcony has direct access to the pool which is another plus. The negative point is that Patong is 20km from this resort.
