6 star experience. We have stayed for our honeymoon 21 years ago and even better than we remembered. Service excellent. I requested an early check in and our room was ready at 10.15 am . We had a late flight out so were provided with a villa to shower and change in that evening before heading to airport at no extra charge.

Unfortunately some very sad developments at my beloved resort in Phuket. The cute calico cat Miboon is gone. She had been adopted by a staff member. Also the local beach vendors and massage ladies are gone. Why? Because the local government has decided to build an enormous B198 million glas terrace walkway and observation tower directly on the adjacent Surin Cliff at the southern edge of the hotel. So the hotel understandably build a protective wall to prevent all the future visitors of this crappy walkway boondoggle to flood beautiful Pansea Beach. OMG, the greedy powers will destroy this place, which was just fine all on its own merits. No they slashed and paved the vegetation so this crappy glas terrace walkway could provide views of beautiful Surin Beach and even more beautiful Pansea Beach. Hopefully this construction will run the same course as the former pavilions that became dilapidated from no maintenance. Sad days. Hope for the best, but fear the worst :(…

The Surin is a stunning hotel with amazing private beach views. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful stay. As others have mentioned there are a lot of stairs (not something that bothered me at all) just something to note for those who may find it difficult.

I could not go back to Thailand without coming back to this hotel. Everything is just how I remembered. Last time we spent 11 days here, this time we decided to end our amazing 3 week Thailand holiday here for a few relaxing days being pampered and relaxing and we sure did. The weather wasn't that great, but we made the most of it. We came for a quiet, peaceful and tranquil last few days after a very busy holiday. Checked in ok we had 2 rooms opposite each other a bit higher up than last time so we did ask for the buggy a few times to go to breakfast etc. Breakfast was amazing, all the choices and al a cart menu, poolside cocktails and food were great. if you haven't been before beware of the hundred of steps. It wasn't very busy. We went swimming in the pool, the sea was pretty rough and red flags were out. We walked on the beach, we all had massages and the last night we ate in their Restaurant and had a lovely Thai meal. It was exactly what we needed and we really relaxed before getting our flight back to the uk. Different cookies every night in rooms. Beds really comfortable. Massive big beach towels. My family tried the gym out. I really couldn't fault it. So glad I came back. My kids loved it so much they want to go back. The presence of the manager around the hotel and breakfast was nice to see. The only thing I missed this time was the beautiful sunset I remember from my last stay. …

Being a seasonal traveler I have to say… WOW. From the second you arrive at the resort to the second you feel like royalty. Breakfast: forget the eggs & bacon, go for Thai soup - unbelievable experience. Went for BBQ & Thai dinner, highly recommended. The entire resort is really clean and well maintained. Very nice staff and management.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Surin. It is our first time to Thailand and in Phuket, the Surin was the best choice. The resort is tucked away on Surin base and it truly made you feel like you were in an isolated paradise. Accommodations are unique in the hillside cottages with views and plenty space, again feeling like you are in your own oasis. Facilities were top notch with pool and plenty of beachfront chairs. Breakfast buffet was expansive and made with excellent quality and preparation. We have the Loy Katong Buffet Dinner and it was exceptional Thai traditional food. The Concierge staff did a tremendous job in planning our stay there: from rips to the Koh Tapu, Muay Thai classes, and Blue Elephant for dinner, and travel accommodations to airport and excursions, they helped set everything up BEFORE we got there and it made the trip less stressful and eased our minds when we arrived. If you want a truly special, unique, and memorable stay in Phuket, I would hands down recommend the Surin. We will come again! I wanted to especially thank: Bee, Mujalim, Charida, Beau, and her team (I forget the woman who checked us in, and the Bell men who helped with our luggage), as they went well above and beyond to provide personalized, timely, and thoughtful service and care. Everything in the hotel met our expectations. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. Very good food in restaurants. Breakfast, somewhat limited choice of food, in any case very high quality and fresh. Nice beach, isolated from public access. Sometimes we found some trash on the sand and it looked like no one from the hotel cared. But it was only a few times. Be aware that most rooms are not handicap accessible. Almost everywhere you have to go through stairs and there are no elevators in the resort. Overall, excellent hotel, nice attentive staff, everything (nearly) perfect :)

We mainly eat at the Thai restaurant which was my favourite. The service was fantastic & food was amazing. Pool side bar was very friendly & efficient as well. The location of the hotel might be a little away from the town but in return we get peace and quiet secluded beach which we very much enjoyed. All the employees here are friendly and helpful. Pro Staff very friendly & efficient House keeping Amazing Pool side bar staff was great Thai restaurant staff was fantastic Buggy service provide to your room front hotel Provided a room for us to freshen up as we checked out at 12pm and flight was much later. We stayed here for several nights at the tail end of our honeymoon—I wish had more days here! The private beach is beautiful and very relaxing. The cottages are gorgeous and the landscape and walkways between them make you feel like you’re in the jungle. The food was delicious at every restaurant but I highly recommend the beach restaurant—fabulous service and beachfront setting. Every aspect at this resort was perfection!
