We booked a Club Room and it was lovely and spacious. The afternoon tea was great, nor sure if this would be the norm if the hotel was busy though. The Happy Hour of an evening was very nice and again with it being quiet, the canapes was excellent and all the staff had time to talk and share a laugh. The breakfast was the best I've every had, all served a la carte, again because of the virus. Not sure if it would resort to a buffet breakfast if things was normal.

Awesome; Absolute fantastic pearl of a resort, located beachfront - just a 30 min scenic drive from Phuket airport. Located between the sea, and a huge laguna - palms and growth - it presents its very own natural beauty....... - not far from markets, shops and attractions. Big rooms, with awesome views, local amenities, small “sala” , cozy balcony, and great sleeping comfort. -also huge bathroom with both tub and shower. Staff was absolutely fantastic in all aspects; very helpful, and always smiling - personalised service and follow up from management. -Also the food was outstanding - both asian and european dishes was made to perfection , very presentable, by their awesome restaurant staff. The a la carte breakfast is a story of its own - great selections of european and asian dishes, cheese and cold cuts, sweets, fresh fruits, fresh smoothies, really good coffee !! and even more awesome bread selection. We also celebrated a birthday at the resort , and were surprised by the staff 2 times on the day, with personalised greetings , singing, cakes and candles.. Unforgettable experience. In addition... there are numerous of sports activities, big gym, beachfront restaurant, BIG beachfront pool in 3 levels with slider; also here you will assisted by helpful staff , doing their best to make your stay a story of its own. Dont forget the cozy Voyager 47 Club Lounge , at the laguna, - serving tapas, cocktails, coffee, tea and drinks - delicious and relaxing in a very beautiful scenery. You won’t be disappointed here... Will be back !!

We needed a getaway from Bangkok for our anniversary, and my wife found some petty spectacular deals at this property. We booked ourselves a 10 night stay and have been celebrating the decision ever since. Before we even arrived the hotel reached out to us, checking on anything special we might need. Responses were quick, pertinent, and helpful. We can't say enough about how kind, welcoming, and warm all of the staff were. We stayed in a Club room, and recommend this highly. The value of this was a Big afternoon tea, and cocktails in the evening with a Chefs appetizer tray. The staff in the lounge were wonderful, especially Khun Dream, Khun Mo, Khun Da, Khun Matt, and Khun June. It was a genuine pleasure chatting with all of them and allowing them to spoil us. Breakfast was served to us a la carte, no buffets, and had a good selection of high quality items. Khun Panwaddy and Khun Pinky made sure we were well taken care of. Great pool, and water slide, and even a selection of fitness classes every day led by Khun Auk, which we availed ourselves of. The only section of the hotel open was the beach wing, and we had a terrific room looking out in the lagoon. Very comfy bed, and terrific selection of amenities in the room. We were also impressed that the hotel had no plastic bottles, only refillable glass ones. Their safety and hygiene standards were impeccable, and rigorously followed by all staff. As mentioned above, the reason for the trip was to celebrate our anniversary. On the day, were were blown away at the effort made to decorate our room for us, and help us celebrate our day. One minor thing, was this will have the dubious honour of being the first anniversary we ever celebrated without a cake. Oh well, I guess I should have ordered one. We recommend the Outrigger highly, and look forward to returning.

We celebrated my daughter's birthday at the poolside "Edgewater" together with our friends this afternoon. The kids truly enjoyed themselves at the pool and the large water slide. The staff were attentive making sure they were safe, the facilities were clean. We'd like to thank the Food and Beverage Director, Mr Singh, as well as all the staff, supervisor at Edgewater for taking such good care of us,and making sure all arrangements were seamless. Our guests were well taken care of. Once again, thank you for taking part in creating a wonder memory for us. Sincerely, Claris and Ben

I had a quick stay at Outrigger Phuket and my takeaway was that in the segment that it competes Outrigger is reasonable value for the money for a beach hotel given the modest price tag and I can recommend it. I booked a club lagoon view room and as GHA Black I received a 2-category upgrade to a club oceanfront room, as per the rules. The club lagoon, club ocean, and club oceanfront rooms are all exactly the same, the only difference being the view. Our room was on the outer edge of the building facing straight at the Andaman sea. In fact our room was close enough to the sea that we could hear the strong waves from the room which was nice and relaxing. In many city hotels, an upgrade which gives me nothing more than a view is a downer but in this resort I thought the value of the upgrade was more meaningful. Despite not receiving a suite upgrade like what some other loyalty programs provide in Phuket (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt), the room was actually not small at 54 square meters. The hotel was renovated in 2013 but the style is a bit rustic with lots of wood. In was not particularly in love with the terracotta floor tiles among other things, and the bathroom was a bit awkward including an odd sunken bathtub, but at least it had a stand-alone rain shower which was a positive. An interesting feature was the square sitting area all the way at the end of the room near the windows which can be used to lie down, read a book, and/or to enjoy the view. There was also a small terrace outdoors to overlook people walking on the beach. The air conditioning worked well during our stay and we could sleep well although the bed was a bit hard. Breakfast was offered a la carte in the restaurant as they have eliminated the buffet post covid. The menu was somewhat limited particularly in terms of Asian choices, although the fried rice was good. We asked if they had noodle soup and unfortunately they did not. Not many hotels of this level do not offer noodle soup in the morning in Thailand so it is something they should possibly re-think. Besides the food, the restaurant had seating areas indoors and outdoors and the restaurant itself had an interesting and pleasant design. Most hotels in Phuket do not have a lounge for example none of the 12+ hotels from the Marriott chain have a lounge as far as I know. Hilton and Hyatt Regency have a lounge, so those are the two which I can use to compare with Outrigger. The Voyager 47 Club Lounge was visually attractive and was near the lagoon with lots of seating areas near the water. Guests had a choice of sitting outside or in a room with air conditioning; it was nice to have the option. Afternoon tea 2:30pm-5pm was somewhat generous with sandwiches and desserts. In the evening 6pm-7:30pm they offer happy hour with drinks and appetizers. The food was good quality but portions very small and refills not allowed, so the happy hour benefit is most valuable for people who intend to drink alcohol rather than for people who care more about the food. The lounges in Hilton and Hyatt Regency both offer more extensive food choices in the evening. The main draw of this hotel is without any doubt the beach, and even more so if you get an oceanfront room. Bang Tao beach is a 6 km long stretch of walkable beach making this hotel a good fit for beach lovers. Not only Bang Tao is one of the top 10 beaches in Phuket, but also it should be noted that Outrigger is right on the beach rather than having to cross a road to access the beach like some other resorts in Phuket, for example Hilton. There are not so many hotels on Bang Tao beach and many areas are public so the downside is there was some rubbish and it’s not always as clean as the private beaches entirely maintained by more luxurious resorts. The pool was decent and had lots of chairs available although given the huge size of this resort I wonder how it would look like if the hotel was full. The pool had a very large slide which would be a key attraction for families with young children. Wifi was very fast with download speeds of almost 200 Mbps and upload over 125 Mbps. Many business-oriented hotels in Bangkok are not even above 50 Mbps so needless to say that wifi is not an issue at Outrigger. Overall I can recommend this resort as good value for the money particularly for people who highly value proximity to a long beach. The room did not wow but it was functional, clean, and in good condition. The view and the sound of the waves crashing nearby gives this hotel an element not offered at many other hotels in this price range.
