The Auberge de L'Ile is very good . My son started off with a salad and a Piece of duck terrine which was tasty. For main course, I had a smoked samon salad, my husband had a duck salad and my son had a lovely homemade burger with fries. For dessert, my husband and I had an apple tart which... More

We came here to Auberge de lil for lunch. We had buffet to start. There was a selection of salad. They ran out of egg that was disappointing, considering chicken and cockerels being heard nearby. A lovely comfy seating area outside with lovely view of a stream. There was shade where we were sat, so wasn't too bad. The waitress... More

For the money we paid this was a very good hotel. Being in a small hamlet (a lovely old church to explore) it was quiet. About a 200 yard walk to the river Dordogne. The room on the second floor was simple yet very adequate with a shower to take home (B&Q might be getting business). No passenger lift but the... More

Lovely old auberge by the Dordogne river in a rural setting. Our room was up the top and huge. Bit hot at times as the weather was stormy but comfortable and spotless. Very up to date stylish shower room. It's the only hotel and restaurant in the village but the food was good local stuff with tasty small menu on... More

Staff very helpful and friendly. Giant salads and lots of choice for dinner. Good, varied breakfast. Had to re-log into internet, but did not mind in such a lovely place, so unlike my last negative review elsewhere.

A good, simple hotel in a lovely village. The rooms are simply furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The restaurant serves good local food, the wine list is mainly quite local (Glanes, Bergerac, Gaillac) and very reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very good value for money both for accommodation and food.

We returned to the Dordogne area after a gap of a decade or so and were generally disappointed. The main tourist areas have been almost disneyfied and are no longer the unspoilt little villages we used to know. However, if you look hard enough, away from the beaten track, you can find such a place and Creysse is one of... More

The Auberge is right in the centre of Creysse and offers travelers great accommodation plus being in a very calm environment. Wifi is good so you are never out of touch. I never found the staff unhelpful. In fact, they went out of their way to help get around the area, telling me all the places worth visiting. The food... More

Agree with the last two reviewers that this place is let down by its management and staff. The location is good, the accommodation satisfactory and the evening meal also OK, but we too were surprised to be treated as a bit of a bother rather than as welcome guests (and we speak French). Having booked for demi-pension in the middle... More
