We have been to Pigeon Lake Resort for the past four years with our family and extended family. They allow dogs, so the dogs get to vacation, too. The property is large, so it never feels crowded even when all the cabins are full. Nice place to relax & enjoy the summer.

My husband and I stayed for a week at the old 2-bedroom cabin at the end of the road. We enjoyed both the privacy and the lake view from the added-on porch dining room. When we arrived the kitchen smelled of bleach and counter surfaces, fridge and stove were clean enough. But floors throughout the cabin could have used thorough cleaning or replacing; furniture and double bed o.k.. After a torrential rain there was a leak through the roof down one wall of the living room.

It was hard to turn around in tiny shower stall to get all the soap off or dry yourself. Always enough hot water and tap water fine for drinking.

We also rented a 9.9 HP motorboat (life jackets included and you can ask for seat cushions), got helpful instructions and it worked well. We were able to dock it right at our cabin which was great for early-morning fishing outings. WiFi worked o.k. - not always reliable.

There is a more modern cabin at same end of the resort but not on the water (shares the same dock). Most other cabins were newer but seemed pretty close together with less privacy.

Expensive if you are just considering the condition of the cabin and not the location on lake with privacy. Agree with other reviewer that it is a noisy end of the lake - lots of water traffic (seadoos, fast boats, water-skiers).

Room Tip: Cabin 21 at south end of resort has the most privacy and is directly lake-front.

The owners are friendly and happy to help. The cabin we stayed in was dark and dirty. We can to clean the whole cabin before we could unpack. I don't think it was cleaned since the last visitors. The cabin was dated and in need of repair and upgrades. We requested an open fireplace and instead were given a broken wood stove. The kettle and pots/pans were disgusting and should be thrown out. We ended up leaving a day early.

My husband, our 2 boys and I went to Pigeon Lake Resort last week (Aug. 6 - 13th) and had a blast! The cottages were well taken care of and come with some nice perks such as Wifi and Satellite TV... which came in handy when we wanted to get the kids out of the sun for a while. We got to enjoy BEAUTIFUL sunsets every night and Wayne and Karen were very accommodating. The beach is great! Lots of sand and the weeds in the water have been cleared out so the kids weren't stepping on seaweed. There is a floating raft in the water that provided a lot of fun for the kids (and adults) while swimming. They also provide kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat that are available to use free of charge. The office/store has some basic grocery and personal items available for sale if you've forgotten anything as well as candy, ice cream, ice and bait. They also offer board game and book rentals if you find yourself looking to fill time. I would highly recommend this place for anyone (especially families) looking for a cottage get away. I've read some other reviews and people have complained that the cottages are dirty etc. This is not a hotel, it's a cottage and it's rustic. Do not expect the Hilton. The cottages are well maintained, and had everything we needed. Can't wait for next year!!!

Had to go ask twice about no satellite signal and then the batteries in the remote were leaking acid. The fry pan was unusable as the coating was peeling off which is unhealthy. Dishes were not clean and tablecloth plastic was dirty and torn. Two BBQ igniters were empty and you also have to deliver your own garbage up to the office area. The fish cleaning hut on my visit to it smelled so bad I could not stay there. Some blinds were in bad need of replacement. We did not bring coffee filters as it was not mentioned on the list. During the stay no cleaners were seen .

The cottages here are placed in a very nice location and they have a lot of waterfront. However because the marina is only down the rd, there is high traffic of boats which means it not an ideal swimming area for my children.

The owners are very nice but the cabins were not up to my expectations. They cabins were not cleaned properly and since I have a newborn baby it was difficult for me to do it myself.

We were very disappointed with the cabins since they are one of the few resorts in the area, we had expected more. This resort would be more ideal for single guys and not for families.

The best thing about this place would be the owners and because it has many cottages to choose from.

The website displays the cottages perfectly! Updated photos and information for what to expect. Great location, lots of waterfront and a sandy beach for the kids. They have a paddle boat, canoe, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, kids play structures, horse shoe pit and shuffle board. Fishing is great!!!!!! The place was well maintained and the owners were very friendly. They are constantly upgrading cottages year to year. Everything is very well maintained. Our favorite cottage is #20!

Our cottage was right on the water. Cottage was ready before we got there. Paddleboats, canoes and small sandy beach for the kids. There are also a few parks shuffle board, volleyball net, horseshoes , fish cleaning station and a small store that my kids loved getting ice cream from every night. Fishing was great and there were hardly any weeds. Wood for evening fires was $15 for a barrel. Gorgeous view. Looking forward to going back next weekend :)

We go every year and would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to relax or explore the great fishing. Most of their cabins sit right on the water so expect great views. Never once have we experienced anything to dampen our spirits.
