Come to this hotel if you want a stressful holiday!! The main reason you holiday somewhere like this is because you want to relax by the pool. Not the case here as there are nowhere near enough sun beds for the amount of guests in the hotel. Every day, no matter how early you get up, there's always someone that has already 'reserved' a sun bed - even though it's against hotel policy, but they don't do anything about it. Your day is spent stressing about the fact you don't have somewhere to base yourself and relax by the pool. Not relaxing at all. You have to pay for sunbeds on the beach. I think forking out so much for staying here, I'd expect to get that for free. Not strictly the hotel's fault but we as a family we came back with so many mosquito bites all over us. I know the hotel can't control nature but my son came out of kids club after one hour, covered in so many bites! Surely the hotel could install mosquito traps or lamps in such vulnerable areas. The dining experience here is also stressful. Like a buffet style but with rude guests and it's somewhat chaotic. For a 'higher end' resort, I'd have expected the nigh time entertainment to be better. Instead they did poor rip offs of songs/films e.g. a fake Moana play. Quite cringey. The positives are that it's close to a sandy beach, but gets quite busy at weekends. The hotel is clean with constant cleaning machines going round the pool all day. …
Great hotel for families with children. Tasty and varied food. Good quality of animation. Staff helpful and smiling. Great location. The beach, in my opinion, the best in Europe. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel
I’ve just got home after a relaxing 5 day break with my husband and our two children staying at the Alcudia park hotel. I booked this hotel due to being very impressed with the pictures of the rooftop facilities and the hotel being right on the beach. It is a little deceiving because you can’t just use these facilities unless you upgrade to ‘Star Prestige’ whilst you are. We decided to do this for our last couple of days, it only cost 30 euros but was very worth it as the roof top is incredible with the lovely jacuzzis, sun beds, roof top bar, and the views are just breath taking. It wasn’t at all busy up there, so super relaxing. Perhaps playing some music up there would make it perfect! We originally were booked as half board but decided to upgrade to all inclusive whilst there, as drinks are quite expensive otherwise, and there aren’t a great deal of places outside the hotel to have a drink. More choice if you head into Alcudia, but we spent a lot of time in the hotel and on the beach so decided it was beneficial to just upgrade to AL! It would have worked out cheaper if we had upgraded to Star Prestige straight away as this also gives you AL, but the staff didn’t explain this very well so it ended up costing us more but it’s not the end of the world. The hotel is immaculate. I can’t understand the reviews that say it is dirty, I didn’t see one bit of dirt anywhere. It smells absolutely beautiful too. Rooms are a good size and also very clean. When we checked in, chocolates were left on the bed for us and a bottle of cava in the fridge with macaroons, a lovely touch!! The beach is breathtakingly beautiful. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. You’d expect that beauty in the Maldives, so to see it in Majorca is quite incredible. Lovely to step out of the hotel and onto the beach. The water is clear, warm, and shallow so perfect for the kids to play in. Evening entertainment wasn’t great. This could have been due to coming to the end of the season. We went to Tenerife in the summer to a 3 star hotel and the entertainment was on another level, so a little disappointing for a 4 star but it certainly didn’t ruin our holiday. Horse riding on a Friday morning for kids was fab though! 6 euros for 15 minutes was great. My daughter loved it. There are photographers in the hotel, they took some lovely photos of our family, however they are very expensive which you don’t obviously discover until after so be prepared. Would definitely come again! A lovely hotel, beautiful location. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. If it wasn’t for the evening entertainment then I’d give it a 5 star! ❤️…
Just returned from 5 nights at the hotel, traveled with my family of 12 (3 children) ppls to celebrate my fathers 70ths birthday. Good! Location: Super nice! Literally on the beach, like 10-20m distance. Staff: Friendly Improvements! Food: Very dissapointed! Many reviews showed prawns, crabs, lobsterm nice seafood etc. But when we there, it was small shrimps and small mussels 1 day thats it. Also when it was something "nicer" (like avocado) it was finished very quickly and they would replace it with something simplier. The salad had dark edges, the cheese was dry etc... you could really feel that they where about to close for the season and did not put any effort into the food. Room: Not very clean and mosquitoes splash everywhere on the walls and curtains. Bathroom had these yellow/blackish mold on the corners of the shower. The walls and door was thin, so you could hear peaoples walking outside and the show they had every night. Even when other showering and faning their hair. Pool: Super cold, the water in the sea was warmer than the pool. We had our 2 year old boy with us and he couldn't enjoy the pool. We asked nicly if we could check out 1-2 hour later sine our 2 years old boy needed to sleep and we thought it could be OK since it was no guest after us, but they just couldn't give us this little extra. …
If you have children with you they will love this hotel, lots for them to do. Games everywhere, pool table, bingo in the snacks room, lots of activities in the kids club. We went to all the evening entertainment. Large swimming pools outside with slides and a small warmer one inside with changing rooms. Clean and spacious room with a pull out sofa bed. Delicious variety of food, we booked time slots and stuck to our time which meant not having to queue much. Staff helpful and always smiling. Great location, we went to the shops. The beach was fantastic with lots of shades to sit under. Loved the decor and paintings in the hotel.
We travelled with an 8 month old baby and a 3yo. This is our third stay in Iberostar chain. Room Separate bedroom was a great idea - good for the families with kids. There is a minibar but it is not filled with drinks (maybe for Star Prestige). There is no kettle. There is a jar for the water with glasses that you can refill from a dispenser on your floor. No bottled water. The bed has 2 mattresses that slide away from each other so there is always a hole between you which is not great when kids come to sleep with you or not great overall. Room looks bright and clean. A lot of storage space. We were in building 4 facing inwards – we could hear the entertainment at night but not to the point that we couldn’t sleep. Food Breakfast: really big choice of food. They even had ginger and mint for the tea. They offer wide variety of fruit, vegetables, English breakfast, a lot of sweet pastry, bread, cheeses and ham, salami etc, yogurts, cornflakes, pancakes, churros… Lunch: Pasta, pizza, kids junk food like fries, hot dogs, burgers etc, fish and meat but not wide choice, some salads and fresh veggies and fruit, ice cream and sweets, rice, paella. Dinner: same as lunch but bigger choice, sometimes themed food like seafood, Mexican etc. Overall the food is ok but not great imho but this is personal taste. There basically wasn’t a meal that would make me go “wow this tastes great” but it is also not bad for sure. I missed more kinds of salads. Facilities The pools are cold in October the heated indoor pools (which is quite small) is warmer but you couldn’t be there with a small baby for a longer time. The sea was warmer than outdoor pools. The water slides were good – suitable for smaller kids – my 3yo really enjoyed it but again quite cold. If you don’t “reserve” a sun lounge in the morning you will not find one around noon and later. They say they remove the towels after 40 min unoccupied but I don’t believe they really do it. Star Camp (mini club) was nice but the floors were just dirty. Yes it is for 4yo and older so it is not intended for me to go there with a baby who would put hands in their mouth but still. Even 4yo kids deserve clean floors, no? Even when it was not full with kids I never saw anyone come and clean...We joined their pony riding activity at the outdoor playground – one of the moms wasn’t holding the pony and it started running quite fast - I can easily imagine a fall so I suggest helmets which were not provided. The beach is really nice – the entrance to the sea is shallow. They don’t own the beach area so you have to pay for the loungers if you want one. Animation activities are offered during the day and evening but they don’t bother you with it if you are not interested. Overall cleanliness is good except for the Star Camp. The hotel territory is small and compact which could be a negative but with small kids we were happy that it didn’t take too long to get anywhere. Hotel guests: predominantly German, some English. Mostly families with kids. Staff is nice. …
The hotel itself is a great location & its clean & tidy with a lovely pool area. The slides especially were a brilliant hit with my boys. Kids club was good, they certainly did their best to entertain a number of children all at once. The buffet restaurant always has a good selection. We booked a superior family room - I would advise anyone needing space to upgrade to a suite if possible. We upgraded as soon as we saw the size of the room - I wouldn’t like to think how small the non superior was. I found it strange there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room especially as it’s all inclusive or half board. Travelling with young children meant I’m often awake as the sun comes up & I couldn’t even enjoy a cuppa on the balcony. You can get a kettle in the room if you ask though. The buffet restaurant was extremely busy at times & we didn’t even go in school holidays. Mostly fine but they really need to provide two ice cream stations - waiting 25 minutes for small people to do their own ice cream each night was painful. And I would have split the kids food section so there wasn’t always a huge queue for chips … seems logical. …
We've spent a very pleasant week at Iberostar Alcudia Park hotel in Mallorca. Nice and sandy beach, turquoise water, great food and excellent service. Many activities and animations for children. Gym and fitness area could be better. Highly recommended.
Fantastic fantastic can not fault, best of all the staff, thank you ,for a fantastic holiday ,Francesca on the reception my cleaning lady all in the food hall and the bar staff, the most happy people, but they do live in a very beautiful place, big thank you ,also the garden the plants amazing
Just returned from a trip here, and I was quite disappointed just to name a few issues Food - the food is the same every lunch time and dinner, it looks like they have just reheated the food from lunch and put it out again at dinner, we were so disappointed as the reviews on the food seemed good but this wasnt the case. We had to go out for lunch and dinner going forward. Rooms - the rooms are very outdated they definitely need a refurb, plus the room walls are paper thin you can hear everything I was constantly woken up came away from the holiday tired. Towel Exchange - €20 deposit per towel which i understand but one day I accidentally spilled a drink on my towel so I went to change it at the towel pick up point and they wouldn't allow me to as you can only change your towel from 10am - 12pm which meant I had to go the next 24hrs with a dirty towel! I could see clean towels but they just wouldn't allow me to change it as it was out of the 2hr change time. We checked out at 11am our flight was not until 11pm, there is no changing room or family room to have a quick shower or to get ready before flight, we ended up having to have a cold shower around the pool, luckily we didn't have any small children with us. Overall disappointing, we wont be going to a iberostar hotel ever again.…
