The hotel is celebrated for its prime location near the beach, making it a hit with families, though opinions on its positioning do vary. Cleanliness stands out as a strong point, with travelers consistently commending the spotless environment and diligent room service.
While the rooms are appreciated for being neat, some guests feel they are somewhat compact and could use updating. The hotel's vibrant atmosphere and child-friendly amenities, including a mini disco, contribute to a lively and enjoyable experience. The value for money is generally praised, but the food quality and potential extra costs are flagged as areas that could affect the perceived value.

Detailed Reviews
First of all the hotel was basis’ but had everything we needed for 2 families (8 in total) play areas/splash pool. The good was lovely and varied. Kids club again basis but the staff were so kind and great with the kids. Found some of the cleaning staff and restaurant staff to be grumpy and rude at times. The biggest complaint was the mosquitoes, we were all bitten to death!!!which I know sounds daft as it’s not the staffs fault but my little boy had a severe allergic reaction. I felt nothing was even done to help the situation, cleaners leaving the doors open in the rooms, no mosquitoes nets on the doors or a basis candle on the table on a eve at the kids disco. We’d already bought plug ins/spray but nothing helped until we spoke to a kids club member who advised us to buy
Goibi xtreme spray from the pharmacy pricey about €20 but so worth it if staying around the hotel on a eve. Also the bees around the snack bar enjoyed a feast everyday yet hardly anything was covered up to help the situation or a hanging deterrent near by. Lots of cups left around the pool area and we never saw the area being cleaned once in the week. The port is worth a visit on a evening and the beach is a 5 minute walk.

We have just got back from 8 days holiday in this place. To be hones, I have been a bit concerned due to the negative post in here about the robbery. Anyway we decided to give a go and try this hotel as it is located near the most beautiful beach in Majorca (only 10 mins walk to Playa de Muro).
Once we arrived, we have been told that our apartment is not ready yet and need to go to the 2 double rooms instead for a night. As compensation we have received an upgrade to the all inclusive for a full stay (originally we have booked self catering). What a nice surprise it was, as we did not expect it! and I must admit that the restaurant in this hotel is absolutely amazing- the food is outstanding, Everything fresh, a lot grilled meat and vegetables, a great choice of deserts and fruits. Lunch is served next to the pool; everyone find something delicious, grilled chicken/ pork kebab, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers or hot dogs, very nice pizza, chicken nuggets and chips for kids! there was no single thing i could complaint about! Drinks also delicious, and not only a local brands but also from the top shelf.
The apartment is a decent size (we are family of 4) with well equipped kitchen. Bathroom very clean, towels changed daily.
The pools are clean, water was a bit too warm - but it was August and everyday was around 40deg. My kids enjoyed the pirate splash pool. we have spent most of the time there. It was very busy, but kids love it; they had great time making new friends :)
We travel a lot around the world and stayed at many nice places, but I must say this hotel surprised me with many positives. Cleanliness is on high standard. The food is really nice and worth to go all inclusive, you won't regret. Mosquitos was the only issue, but it is not a hotel fault really. Just make sure you have plenty of antimosquito spray ;) Overall I am giving 5 stars and look forward to come back to this beautiful place next year.

Before arrival we contacted the hotel on Messenger and asked for rooms next to each other on ground level. We got reply shortly after and our request were fulfilled. Points for this.
We arrived at 1:00 AM, check in was OK and we were offered something to eat before we went to bed. The next day we noticed that one of our rooms has a “bad smell” – and the door in the other room was so hard to open that our 8 year old son had problems opening and closing the door. We went to the reception and told them our complaints and when we got back from breakfast the smell was gone and the door was oiled.
The rooms (139 and 140) were OK in size and condition, but beds were rock hard, and both my wife and I had sore necks and shoulders. The rooms were facing S’Albufera Nature Reserve and had beautiful sunsets and were far enough from the restaurant and entertainment that we didn’t hear it much. The only issue with the location was the mosquitos, which are hard to avoid.
All Inclusive – the buffet had plenty of options. Breakfast was very good, lunch OK and dinner also very good. I did however miss a real Barbeque Grill for the meat. In my option it would have made a difference. Drinks were super, some of the best juice we have had on AI, good coffee (and ice coffee) and the cocktails from 17:30-23:30 were exceptional good. There were several choices of ice creams for the kids the entire day. The only downside was the red wine. I only had one glass, which had a bad smell – the rose wine and beer on the other hand was good, so I managed without red wine
There were plenty of sunbeds and space in the main pool. Our 8 year old were also spending quite some time in the splash pool which had some small water slides. All in all we really enjoyed the pool area.
We were a little worried how far the beach was from the hotel, but it was only 5 minutes walk which is “split up”, so it doesn’t feel long. You start by crossing the canal, then you walk by a burger king and some shops, then cross the main road, then on a small square and then you are at the beach. The beach is among the best we visited in Europe. As I remember Alcudia beach, this part gets faster deep then the beach at Alcudia, which for is a good thing. The sand was clean and soft, the water turquoise and crystal clear.
We didn’t use any of the animation team offers, but it seemed like the ones participating had fun – and they sure were full of energy.
The football, basket and tennis area was almost useless – the basketball rim was broken and after a few days it was completely removed, the net on one of the tennis courts were broken and having concrete hard surface, simply made it too dangerous to play football. This was our biggest disappointment.

Lovely hotel with exactly what you would expect from a 3 star.
Staff are really nice, especially Gustavo, Daniel, Joan and Pepe. Range of food choices is excellent with dishes to cater for everyone.
Pools are lovely, warm and clean and there are always plenty of sun loungers, nice vibe all round the pool areas and hot/cold food with drinks and ice cream available to all inclusive guests literally all day.
Rooms are adequate I would say for 3 people, a family of 4 was a bit of a squeeze. AC in the Rooms wasn't great but I've had worse. Towels changed and Rooms cleaned every day, my only gripe about the room was that we were 1st floor with 2 prams and there were plenty of families with no pushchairs on the ground floor, this should be pre organised prior to visiting to ensure guests with prams are on the ground floor. Also the pool can be a little bit far away from the pool area for some guests (us).
Hotel is a 5 minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in majorca and the same distance from shops and bars etc. Muro has a nice feel about it, will definitely visit it again.
The hotel also left a surprise bottle of bubbly in my room for my birthday which was a nice touch.
My only slightly negative for this hotel would be that towards the end of our stay when it started to get busier the restaurant did start to struggle a little and it was unpleasant at the buffet with so many guests in all at once, also in my opinion cocktails should be part of the all inclusive all day, not just after 5pm. Not being able to get a cocktail during the day as an all inclusive guest is a first for me.
Mosquitoes are bad in this area but it shouldn't put you off, if you protect your self properly you should get away with just the odd bite.

The hotel overall in good. Its very basic, the rooms are small. The bathroom is tiny, really good shower! The cleaners were friendly.
The biggest downfall for us was the pool and area. There were empty cups, it didn't looked clean. I could feel the dirt at the bottom of the pool and mini tiles falling off on the side. I also feel that they should restrict the inflatables in the pool & manage the towel issue. People would leave their towels and not arrive until midday.
The resort it's self is lovely, amazing beach it gets very busy. The beds on the beach are €15 a day and there is a lady selling amazing fruit and drinks.
Although there is an issue with mosquitoes in the resort this isn't just at the hotel. There are things you can do to help, we found putting vics on your wrists and ankles, no perfume/aftershave and a spray.
We can't comment on the food as we were self catering.

We travelled mid July and had 4 x 2 bedroom apartments. Apartments were cleaned every day, we had new towels every day also, AC was perfect. We had all inclusive for the first time and it was a great experience, pool snack bar was super and actually had a nice selection of food.
I would have loved a bit more cleaning around the pool, or better yet a supervisor or big signs reminding the quests to use the dustbins and telling the smokers smoking is not allowed by the pool!!!!!
Kids entertainment in the evening was great. And the evening coctails were excellent.
I recommend BQ Alcudia Sun Village to remove the picture of the big playground from their homepage seeing that it isn't there anyore - we didn't miss it though, had lots of fun on the little playgrounds.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at this hotel. The location is good - away from the shops and noise but close enough to walk to the beach (5-10 mins). The bus stop is about the same distance for transport into the Port or the Old Town (3 Euros per person each way regardless of distance). Same for children over 5 years. We did get bitten by mossies but not too bad. We used Jungle Formula spray, the yellow bands and citronella candles. The wasps weren't as bad as other reviewers have said. The double room was small but adequate with a good shower, fridge, microwave and kettle. The studio was, again, small but had everything necessary. Nice comfy pillows. The air conditioning unit in the double room was noisy but we just put it on during the day and evening to cool the room and switched it off to go to sleep. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the mini club activities, the pirate ship and the main pool which is shallow enough for children. The adult daytime activities were brilliant. Especially Water Gym - great fun. The food at this hotel is superb with a great choice of quality food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Cava at breakfast made a great Buck's Fizz. The snack bar by the pool serves pizza slices, burgers, chips, chicken nuggets and salad. It's good and fresh but we did prefer the food in the main dining room. We were all inclusive which did include drinks - beer is good, the white wine is ok, sangria was lovely, some of the cocktails are better than others and spirits and liqueurs were branded. Beware, the 'measures' appear to be guessed. Drinks by the pool are in plastic tumblers - nothing wrong with half a pint of Cava! All in all we had a brilliant time and would recommend this hotel for a great family holiday. Wouldn't go as a couple.

We are currently on our way back from BQ sun village and went together as a family of 4… 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 & 2.
The hotel consists of a main reception area surrounded by small apartments, a ground floor apartment with a small garden and a 1st floor apartment with a balcony.
We stayed in ground floor and after arriving at 1:30am with 2 very tired kids we checked in promptly.
When arriving at our room the size was evident, very small and narrow, we got the kids down to sleep to realise the door locks were faulty!
Had to go back to reception who in fairness were very helpful and arranged a new room apart from the inconvenience of it all we were finally settled by around 3am.
Positives.
Location (10 minute stroll to the beach, shops and restaurants)
Pool areas bang on
Staff great
Food is ok some days better than others as you can always expect on all inclusive.
Negatives
Only entertainment is outside
Rooms very small
1 toilet area across the full pools
Overall people should realise this is a 3 star hotel and a very very good one at that!!!

I returned earlier in the week from our holiday to the hotel with 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 4. What an absolutely fantastic holiday had by all! A special mention to the entertainment team, Nicholo, badra, Veronika and Laura who honestly made our holiday.
I'll start with the negatives - this is entirely not the hotels fault but we were eaten alive by mosquitos towards the end of our stay. It was a problem everybody had and whilst the bar were providing everyone with candles they really didn't make much of a different. I resorted to buying mosquito spray from the shop across the road but again made little difference. The room had ample size for us however my kids are still fairly small so with older kids I might have had a problem like other reviews suggested. The overhead shower in our room so a bit temperamental but we made do, a few broken tiles in the room which asterically looked annoying but they weren't dangerous in anyway.
And now to the positives. As I've mentioned the entertainment team were fantastic, myself and my friend threw ourselves into absolutely everything day and night, not only were they fantastic with the adults and the range of activities for us, but their energy with the children was amazing. My youngest has come away absolutely loving the team and their enthusiasm, Nicholo even got my little girl swimming and way more confident in water after throwing himself in. They always made a fuss of the kids which made it a very special experience. Daily water polo/water basket are a must! So much fun for the adults, then theres aqua gym, rifle shooting, archery, a game called Sjeolen were just some of the daily activities. Then the evening started with a mini disco and quizes, karaoke, acrobatic displays. Honestly brilliant. The food was good, breakfast by far my favourite but there's was a range of foods lunch and evening which were very enjoyable, my kids struggled a bit more but there was always chips and pasta! I couldn't fault a single member of staff, they were always smiling and pleasant, very helpful. If you have a late flight like us there's a bag storage space and showers available which meant we could enjoy our last day around the pool without worrying, there is an option for a late check out but our room was taken.
The set up of the hotel is lovely, rather than a large hotel block, it's very much spread out more like a village, I also felt safe with the children for them to go and do their own thing rather than feeling I needed to be on them all the time! It might have helped the hotel wasn't anywhere near full capacity but the layout put me at ease that the kids wouldn't get lost or wonder off even at such young ages.
I would absolutely go back to BQ sunny village in a heartbeat but unfortunately Jet2 doesn't seem to have them on their list for next year.

Can’t rate this resort high enough.
Absolutely fantastic stay at BQ Alcudia sun village. We came as a group of 4 adults and a 2 year old. We stayed all inclusive which I highly recommend.
Every member of staff we met was more than happy to help and really accommodating. Villas were cleaned every day and fresh towels were left. You can rent pool towels I believe for 10 euros for the weeks (we brought our own).
Food was very very good. A very wide variety which was perfect for all of our party (including a fussy eater) and a very young child. Drinks and ice creams were great too. There are set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner but there is another food counter by the pool which serves food all day (included in all inclusive). Drinks (soft and alcoholic), ice creams for all inclusive available there too.
Pools were fantastic and kept very clean. If you have a young child and use the kids (pirate ship) pool please be aware there is a large bucket which gets filled up gradually and then tips over the slides. Older children loved this, but unfortunately it went off when my 2 year old was on the slide and it knocked her down. She was then too frightened to go back in that pool.
Beaches are a short walk away and absolutely beautiful. Crystal clear water and gorgeous light coloured sand. We went on the boat trip which includes a swim which I highly recommend. We also got a peddalo out at the beach which had a slide and was great fun in the clear waters.
Overall a fantastic stay!
