We stayed here at the end of July with a child and a dog. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly, spoke English (although I did use my limited French!) and were very helpful. The room was large with 2 separate rooms, 1 with a king sized bed, 1 with a sofa bed and a large bathroom. It had air conditioning...

This was booked at the last minute when faced with poor weather in the Dordogne. Our expectations were not high as it was mid August. We found a really well designed, large room, impeccably clean, a super, very large pool (not enough sun-loungers) staff very friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfast is excellent - not cooked although hard boiled eggs were there...

We travelled to Alenya to watch Wigan Warriors V Catalan Dragons in Perpignan and fancied somewhere out of town.So glad we did. This hotel is in a quiet little town with not much but a very friendly Spar, but don't let that put you off. Just twenty minutes from Perpignan and the same to some of the most beautiful beaches...

We picked this and booked through bookings.com . It was in a nice quiet location and the surroundings were lovely with ample parking. The price for our stay included breakfast which had a huge selection, all fresh and tasty. The service in the hotel was good and very friendly. The pool was a good size with a small paddling area...

The staff were lovely, the swimming pool was HUGE and the rooms had south facing balconies, with sunbeds. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I have ever had! No stale or sad looking bread here. Everything was fresh and there was a huge variety. On the downside the room was noisy when the door to the balcony was open...

If you like self catering then this place is excellent. We had a two bedroom apartment which was spacious and clean. The kitchen meals area was quite large as were the bedrooms. The only downside was that the internet would continually drop out. Alenya is close to Perpignan, the Mediterraen and the Pyrenees and hence is idealy situated.

We stayed in one of the time share apartments. The block that we were in was like a featureless motel, reached down an unwelcoming drive with a badly potholed entrance. On arrival, there were no flowers in the nearby pot, just a couple of rotting tomatoes and an empty beer bottle! The whole place didn't seem charming and welcoming, for...

We had a two bed apartment for a week. The tiling and bathrooms are great, the "drench" shower was very refreshing after a day at the beach! The beds were very comfy too. Indeed there was a lot of space in this apartment, including the huge balcony area - which had visits from the local red squirels and you could...
