The hotel is located one block from the main road, just across the park "El Gallineral", this can be good for travelers who travel by bus, but you should consider that are loud noise of cars, buses and trucks transiting the track. We occupied 3 rooms for one night. Paid COP $ 126,000 (US $ 40) for 2 adults and... More

Stayed here one night for road trip. New and clean but close to noisy main road. Asked for room in back away from main road. No air conditioning and window had opening to elevator like shaft that does not circulate any air, and people walking down hallway can see in if you keep window cover open to let air in... More

We decided to go big and get the presidential suite for our stay and we were more than pleased. A nice huge bed situated in a large room equipped with a shower and monster bath/jacuzzi. There's also a living room with a couple couches, mini bar stocked with beer, wine and snacks along with another bathroom/shower. The massive deck has... More

Stayed here for about a week and I was very pleased with the staff, the service and the location of the hotel. A great park is within walking distance as well as the main plaza. The hotel offers transportation and water rafting as well as other activities for a fee. They also have a restaurant and a small pool.

I stayed for 2 nights and the service since I arrived was very warm, helpful advices to go around, excellent cleanliness in rooms and common areas. An excellent choice for who dont like to stay in cheap hostels without paying a fortune for having your own bathroom, privacy and a little of comfort. Clean towels both days, hot water, fan... More

Noise level=impossible to sleep. Unless you can sleep through 3 discothèques, constant tucks shifting gears to go up the road, barking dogs and cooing doves in the roof. When the wind blows the terrace doors rattle since there is no way to lock them. If you can live without air conditioning, I recommend the Macondo Hostel no luxuries but a... More

Sitting in my room writing this review now (Jan 9, 2013). The hotel is very new and the rooms are clean and well kept. Our room is very small and has very little space to walk around the end of the bed to go from the door to the bathroom. We are on the 6th floor with a great view... More

I stayed at Hotel Puerto Bahia from 15th-20th of November while passing through San Gil. The hotel is located directly in front of Parque Gallineral and sits just off the main road bus route. The hotel is very modern and i found that it looked crisp and clean compared to some of the other places in San Gil, the staff... More
